Am I the only one who blames microsoft?

Hi starting im not a big hardcore halo fan, I started playing halo 3 at a friend´s house, I have bought halo 4 MCC and 5
I like halo 4, I stoped playing it because I broke my disc. Imo halo 4 was good, they did almost all the things right… except for one obviously they didnt know how to make a Truly halo game because it was their first time, I just feel that microsoft are just some -Yoinks!- looking for money because they removed splitscreen and added microtransactions (I am fine with them) but… really I dont know how to say it but I blame microsoft.

There’s really no way to tell who deserves more blame, 343 or microsoft.

If by blame MS you mean blame them for a weak gaming console, then yes. But overall I dont see how it’s their fault, or even 343i’s. You do know splitscreen was removed because the engine literally wouldnt work properly with how the game achieves perfect 60fps, correct?

Oh no my friend, not at all.
I’m still waiting for Halo 3 on PC, Micro$haft.

Microsoft was who provided the funds for the development of every single Halo game.

No. I have been 100% on the idea that 343 has been micromanages by Microsoft since day one, because Microsoft has had a big presence in Halo 3 as “big brother”. I more than sure they dangle the license for Halo over 343 and tell them to make it a certain way, rather then let them make more creative choices.

After all, that’s why Bungie Left Microsoft to start Bing independant. Too bad for bungie that Activision did the same thing.

Yeah bro but they can add splitscreen as a free complement for those who want to play, but coop would make it run at 30 fps

I feel sad for bungie, -Yoinking!- activision, and microsoft

Imo MS just wants money as we have seen on halo 5

They’ve said time after time that’s not how it works. They cant just lock the framerate at 30fps for splitscreen because it cause serious performance issues.
Unbelievable that people think they’re intentionally leaving it for -Yoink- and giggles.

Microsoft also said the Xbox One needed the Kinect to run, but that was a lie. Who knows if this framerate deal is as well.

343 IS Microsoft.

it was designed around 60 fps, so it will likely play best at and around 60. lower fps can introduce issues with collision… Doesnt mean the game couldnt run at 30 though. The notion that the game engine “literally wouldnt work” at anything other than 60 is speculation at best. likely that its fine at 30, but not able to maintain 30 during split screen.

like the Kinect and the xbone, 60 fps is integrated into the product we call halo 5, but unlike the kinect situation it doesnt make financial sense to separate the two.

I think you sum it all up fairly well, speculation is the best we can do.

Microsoft.
Microsoft is to blame for the early release for Halo 2 which is even quoted by Bungie staff to be “incomplete”.
Microsoft is also the reason as to why most Halo content is pushed earlier than desired by the actual publishing staff.
Everyone can get mad at Bungie and or 343i, but when it comes down to it, both studios would have loved more time to polish content, but could not.

Microsoft is the parent company, 343i is a studio.

Microsoft didn’t write that terrible story. Microsoft didn’t decide to force Locke on fans and cut out Master Chief. Microsoft didn’t design an engine that couldn’t handle split-screen. Microsoft didn’t decide to cut Oddball, Infection, Grifball, etc. Microsoft didn’t decide to cut out social play lists. Microsoft isn’t the one that made a bunch of lazy forge and remix maps. That is all on 343. The only thing that might be Microsofts fault is the pushing of micro-transactions, which are the least of the games problems.

Now I understand

Yeah a studio created BY Microsoft for the sole purpose of creating their games.

No. I mad at Microsoft also.
