I can’t remember the last time I played on this map, its such an amazing map. I’m tired of people voting for Exile over and over again, I just don’t see whats so great about that map. 343 should bring back the vetoing system from Halo 3, I’m tired of playing on the same map over and over again.
I love Meltdown. Wish I could play on it more often, unfortunately I refer to BTB as Exile Team Battle for a reason… 
No I really like it and vote for it when I can. I actually play on it pretty often in Dominion so that’s kinda cool. All the lifts and caves make getting around really easy and that’s rare for a BTB map

I love Meltdown as well! It’s a shame that it isn’t played more often, it truly is a brilliant map! Though I think the addition of the Mantis kind of ruined it a bit… Still, it’s a far better map than Ragnarok any day!
Just got off a BTB game
Exile/Meltdown/Longbow popped up
In an instant 8 votes went towards Exile

Never actually played it! Sure I hate Halo 4 with a passion but I have played the game but whenever I did, it was never voted for (despite my best efforts). And after I stopped playing it when a thread like this pops up I can’t say anything! >:(
Perhaps I will try Halo 4 again soon and see if I can play on this map.

I agree, the mantis should be removed and replace them both with guass hogs should improve the map. I usually have a blast using the guass hog on Meltdown while playing Dominion.

I dunno, Gauss Hogs are far too powerful. Perhaps Rocket Warthogs would be nice though, since they’re more balanced and quite underused.
I wish the Revenant had returned in Halo 4, it would have been a nice vehicle to have on Meltdown…

Rocket Hogs would be nice too and I agree they should bring back the Revenant.
I love meltdown it is one of halo 4’s better maps yet people always vote for exile which i hate…

You can actually get from one base to the other really quickly. I would love to see how this map plays on CTF, considering that in some ways it seems tighter than harvest to me.
the only reason people vote for Exile so -Yoinking!- much is because its the most UNBALANCED map in the entire Halo franchise.
1 scorpion, 1 Gauss hog (that is guaranteed to the whatever team it belongs too), and one banshee.
Who ever spawns with the Gauss hog wins 9 times out of 10.

Agreed, I said that in the CTF feedback thread awhile ago. Having some kind of power weapon or powerup top/bottom mid would be nice too. Maybe limit the map to one incinerator top mid and a speed boost or something bottom mid? Both teams get rocket hogs instead of Mantis vs Gauss?
I vote for Meltdown when I can, but it never gets picked. Aside from underpowered vehicles which the playlist kind of pointless (BTB used to be all about big vehicle battles, after all), Exile is one of the main reasons I don’t play BTB in Halo 4.
Meltdown is my least favourite map.
I like Meltdown just fine. It would be better though if the Mantis was taken out.
And this is the problem with the voting system in Reach and in Halo 4, instead of getting a variety of maps you get stuck playing the same 2-3 popular ones over and over again.
The veto system wasn’t perfect but it was MILES better than the voting system.
