So i got halo 4, i love it! I play it all the time when i dont have work or college.
Sure it needs a few tweeks, but it is a GREEAT halo game. I love all the gametypes, weapons, armor, campaign, Spartan ops, music, graphics, etc etc.
It will be even better with map packs.
So after the reach fiasco, i have a halo game i love again.
I come back to waypoint and O.o the yoink is going on here guys!!!
I assume the people who like the game are not complaining. But come on! this is like blind hate, complaning about everything. As if this was as bad as duke nukem forever…
Take of the nostalgia goggles, and enjoy it or go play something else. We dont need people like you taking apart are game and ruining it.
IKR?! It’s silly. For me I’m fine with it except a few things, like the DMR overpowering almost every weapon in the sandbox and the Boltshot having a OHK power when overcharged more powerful than the shotgun and scattershot OHK ranges. A classic playlist, like they said they’d add, would be nice, and putting Complex on BTB and out of Infinity slayer would be convenient.
I love it. A couple things like ordnance drops that I am not hot on, but I love it still. Most of the people complaining love it too, they just want it to be what they imagined it to be and they are upset that it was different than their expectations.
I swear 343 would make bajoogles of money if they just remade Halo 2… It’s what 90% of the complainers really want…
If you listen to the forums, there were 10 million people still playing H3 20 years after its release. No one hated H2 when it came out, it was an instant love-fest. Bungie can do no wrong, and 343i is operating with a mandate to destroy the Halo franchise completely.

Hahaha my favourite is: Halo reach was better than this. WUT???
I still think halo 2 is the best, it was my fav. but 4 is good.
LOL I love these threads, why? The answer is obvious, these threads are really about proving the haters wrong! Most of these complaint threads have valid complaints. I see more blind love than hate. And this is coming from someone who likes halo 4.
i tried to avoid war games and spartan ops after i hit 70. I still can’t move on up and i didn’t want to lose the credits from commendations…
i just couldn’t stay away
I honestly don’t know where people are coming from with “this isn’t like the classic ‘halo(ce,2,3)’. it sucks. halo is ruined forever!”
-Yoink-, i’ve been playing halo as long as we’ve been able to play it and can’t wrap my head around their warped opinions.
no one seems to remember any of the issues that plagued older titles; only the positive experiences (rose-tinted by nostalgia). plus people often don’t recall un-enjoyable experiences very well unless it was traumatizing so we shouldn’t really expect any of the complainers to take a minute to actually remember everything. (but i digress)
Yes there are valid complaints, but they are making mountains out of molehills. Sure the boltshot and DMR need tweaked, but I AM TRADING IN MAH HALO 4 BUNGIE 4EVR.
or: The Dmr is braking this game, hello black ops 2.
or: this is the worst halo game of all time, its broken.
Presenting issues is one thing. Saying this game is unplayable is just complaning.
No matter what complaint comes up, I still love the game. It needs a little work, but that is what a title update is for. I have faith that the major issues will be fixed, maybe even new features added (more custom game options, better theater, etc). Until then, as long as I can find a match and play the game with other like minded people, I will do just that.

i love the game too but that doesnt mean we should be blind to the faults of the game.
Skill rank systems
working file shares
clan systems
working file browsers
busted kill cams
and many other things have all been done in multiple if not all online halo titles. No excuse for them not to be in the latest interation or like kill cams be shoved in there and not work.

Awesome post. Haha, love it.
In all seriousness. I do miss some of the things in Halo 2 and Halo 3. Actually I miss them a lot, but the truth is, games have to evolve, and they need to bring something fresh to the table every time. Otherwise the vast majority of consumers will not buy the game.
I think 343i did a good job given how much the game and times have evolved. Loadouts never seemed to be the Halo way of doing things, but that’s part of evolving. Regardless, the essence of Halo is still there. There’s an emphasis in teamwork, and skill still plays a huge roll. I’m still a bit disturbed by the amount of weapon bloom, or bloom in general. It’s taken away from the skill. I find myself pulling the trigger while my aim is at the head and end up hitting the body, and that has really nothing to do with skill, its uncontrollable. It’s disturbing.
Other than that, I think they should have made some smaller maps, I agree with moving Complex to BTB. That map is too big to play 4v4.
I don’t think the DMR is overpowered. Neither is the BR, what I think needs a power bump, or at least an ROF bump is the Light Rifle. Its a powerful weapon, but its rate of fire is ridiculously slow, which makes a pain when you engage someone using a DMR. A power bump or a rate of fire bump would help this. The carbine is really nice, maybe a tad bit underpowered considering you have to use almost a full clip to bring down someone.

Halo 3 maintained a much higher population much later than both Reach and Halo 4 so far.
Halo 2 was generally disliked by LAN party people (who’s prevalence was widely overblown by media, there were a few thousand of these people in the U.S total compared to the millions of Halo fans).
Bungie did do very wrong with Reach, other than that it’s pretty hard to fault them.
You can exaggerate facts and viewpoints all day long, it doesn’t change that myriads of Halo fans are upset with this iteration and have either turned their backs on this game or have gone to these forums to voice their dissatisfaction.
It definitely has its issues that 343 needs to deal with. I don’t think I need to list them.
The problem with a lot of complaints is that it derives from the fear of change. 343 took a big step in that regard and basically revamped the series. A lot of people were afraid when they started hearing about that and formulated a bias that the game was going to be bad. This is before the game came out. Now that it’s out, those people already had a premeditated bias that the game was going to be bad and went in looking for anything that could prove them right (cuz nobody likes to be wrong). As always, when you look for blood you find it. Thus we get all these outrageous rage threads at stuff that doesn’t matter.
I think it turned out to be a solid game. With a few tweaks 343 could make it a great game. People just need to accept the changes and look at the game through a clean slate.
