Am I the only one that enjoyed this game?

Everywhere I look on these forums its people complaining how bad it is and if you enjoy it your a CoD kiddy or new to Halo. I enjoyed every aspect of it so far, you all hated reach now you love it?. How the hell does Halo 4 play like CoD?, I bet most of the people who say that have never even played a CoD game, because it plays nothing like one, so it has taken aspects of it, doesn’t make it a terrible game. I swear I’m the only one that has liked the game ever since I saw it. I would rank all the Halo games like this

Halo 4>Halo 2> Halo CE> Halo 3> Halo reach.

PS: If you want reach back, then go play it, the servers are still up.

I take it you’re new to how this works. People complain about every game every year. That’s the way it is. Halo 4 is a million times better than Reach. It’s close to Halo 2 but not quite there due to map quality.

I haven’t been around Waypoint or Bnet for a launch, the first time I started going on the sites was when 4 was announced, so I guess I am new. But every time I look around I seriously feel like im one of the few that enjoyed the game all in all, yeah the maps aren’t too good but still. Glad to see this is normal.

The game is awesome, and I would argue that it has the best multiplayer experience to date. The campaign is fun as well, but requires some background to truly appreciate.

Some of the stuff that makes it so awesome:

  1. The pace is so fast that the split second decisions you make really matter. Weapons actually kill rather than feeling like nerf guns, and the armor abilities all seem to have their place.

  2. Loadouts. This should have happened a long long time ago. It was terrible construction to have an AR at spawn and thus force everyone’s first matter of business to be finding a BR / DMR. I really love this new addition.

  3. The maps. We could use some more but the ones we have now are not bad. A great variety and very enjoyable to play on.

  4. Gamemodes. Infinity slayer is awesome. I like how powerweapons show on my HUD and I can call down my own stuff as I wreck havoc.

It’s really sad that the forums are filled with so much negativity. 343i did a phenomenal job.

While the game does have some issues to be ironed out, overall I am really enjoying Halo 4.

And considering the last CoD I played was MW2, I’m fairly certain this will be my only online shooter until Halo 5 comes out!

I’ve been a die hard halo fan since Combat Evolved and I really don’t know why there is so much hate. People honestly crave to troll and complain. It is such a step up from reach that it might be more fun than Halo 3, my personal favorite in the series.

Anyways, you know what they say about opinions…

General tip about post launch and forums: only criticisers and rangers tend to stick around. The vast majority of players enjoy the game and see no reason to get on here as a result.

Everyone complains about every game. That’s generally why people come to forums. They do not represent the community as a whole.

You think Reach was hated? Try going back to Bnet in October '07. Nothing but rage.

Every generation of Halo will have its whiners. That’s the nature of the beast. As a culture grows, so does its counter-culture.

Old vet’ here.

Haters gonna hate.

Halo 4 > Halo CE == Halo 2 >>> Halo 3 > Halo Reach

This happens literally every time a new Halo game comes out, I’ve been watching the Bungie forums since Halo 3 was announced, and of course moved over to Waypoint when Halo 4 became the new thing.

Before Halo 3 everyone was complaining that Halo 2 was the noobiest, glitchiest game ever, Halo 3 comes out and suddenly Halo 3 is the worst game ever made and that Halo 2 was the holy grail of video gaming. The same happened to Reach, and now with Halo 4.

It’ll happen with Halo 5 too - everyone will complain about how crap Halo 5 is, and how great Halo 4 was.

H4 is the best one since halo 2.

2>4>CE>3>ODST>Reach

OP, let me explain this to you:

Its the 6 steps of Internet logic:
1: Complain about current iteration of series, previous was far better.
2: Demand new game
3: Hype new game to levels a sane person knows won’t be reached
4: Play new game
5: Rage about how “bad” the current iteration of series is, after all: the previous one was great!
6: Repeat from step 2.

Also, I enjoy H4 a lot. More than I’ve enjoyed any Halo since H2.

> Halo 2>Halo 4> Halo CE> Halo 3> Halo reach.

fixed it.

Game is amazing. I’ve played all the Halos for hundreds of hours.

People have different opinions.

I know, it’s shocking…

I can come up with reasons to complain about every Halo title. However I have loved all of them.

Halo 4’s matchmaking is top tier, superior to Reach, and on par if not better then Halo 3. This is a great game.

I love Halo 4, its way better than Reach(although I miss the Forge World vehicle heavy maps). The original trilogy still has a soft spot in my mind but Halo 4 is easily worthy of the Halo name.

I’m right there with you. I first started playing Halo with 3 and loved it. I loved how competitive it was, and played it in the dorms all night every night and never go bored. Sometimes I wanted to break my controller because of BR spread, bubble shields and regens, but nothing is perfect, and I found myself dropping bubble shields too when I wasn’t playing MLG.

Then I went to school in Europe and had no video games for year, and Reach comes out.

I never looked at a review of Reach and just bought it because it was the next Halo and Halo was the only game I played. Reach made me break my controller a few times, and I kept on telling myself, just adapt, just get better, you’re just not good at this game yet like you were at Halo3. I eventually got good at Reach, but I just didn’t have any fun playing it. I could only play a few games before I was bored with it, and so I quit playing. I played Black Ops and enjoyed it for what it was, but could not play it all night like Halo 3, and really just stopped playing video games in general.

All of this to say, when I saw the Halo 4 commercial I thought maybe, just maybe, it will be more like the original Halo series. However, after multiplayer details came out I realized it was not. But, after seeing more, I thought, yes - it’s going to be different than any other Halo, but it still could be fun. And guess what? In numerous ways it is completely different, but I’ve had a blast playing it. Everyone complained about Reach, and a lot of people replied, suck it up and adapt to change. I did adapt to jet packs and bloom, but I still didn’t have fun. To everyone that complains about Halo 4 I would say the same, adapt to change, and if you still are not having fun, it’s time for you to move on to another game.

i enjoy the game but nerds will nerdrage about everything they don’t like. wish they’d stop playing the game and go play CoD or pokemon.

I fully agree with OP except I think all the Halo’s are fantastic.
