Why do 343 give so much prestige about those team like clg by giving them skin-based of the AR and magnum?
Why do they try to give so much hype about these random player, i dont want to be the fan of anyone. they arent better than us, they are just player that got lucky enough to form a team
I am not jealous cause i dont want that kind of live but i think 343 should focus more on the casual player than these ‘‘Pro’’ palyers.

I feel the same way. Those pros may be good, but they only make up a tiny fraction of Halo’s playerbase. 343 should be focusing their attention on improving the game for us, the majority, instead of catering to eSports that most of us don’t care for.
Well for one, ya they are most likely better then you, and two Halo has always been a competitive game thus a league was bound to happen. You could then argue the same thing with normal sports, there are casual players and pro-players and everything from recognition, rule development, etc come from the pro-side.
Competitive gaming in general is becoming a huge thing whether you like it or not and since Halo has been apart of competitive gaming since halo 2 and the fact that the community freaked out when Halo 4 catered to casuals, 343 made the decision to build up the competitive nature of Halo 5 which means pro-leagues. Now that this solid foundation and format has been relatively built they should focus on adding the social aspects to halo 5/6. Neither side should be ignored and those that do well in the pro-side should not be either.
Coz it gives competitive players something to strive for, an end goal. And there is actually a huge fan base for these teams and players which 343 is appealing to.
believe it or not there are gamers out there that actually try to improve, team up and play consistently and enjoy winning and competing.
also, these players are better than most, watch some twitch or HCS and u will see.
Agreed, thing is, they make money off of it with the pretext of tournaments and these pro teams by handing out req packs, if no one bought them I’m sure 343 and greedy MS would make better halo without these -Yoinks!- micro transactions
I don’t particularly care, but the HCS had more viewers than any of the livestream for the updates. Obviously it has a target audience that’s fairly large.
I have no problem with it.
I’m not interested in that sort of thing but I know a lot of people are and it’s good to see some sort of league putting Halo up there again in terms of competitive FPS.

Yes. Yes they are better than us. Much better in fact. I see you are making an ill informed assumption as you have probably never watched a stream with these teams.
They are trying to rejuvenate Halo on the competitive scene. The last true competitive Halo was three. 343 tried to make a game catered to the casual fanbase. It was called Halo 4. Unfortunately, us casual players didn’t support the game enough to make it viable. So they swung for the other side.
At the end of the day they are looking for who will support the game the most and bring in the most money. That’s it.
I just think what if all the money being spent on HWC and pro league was instead spent on new content for the game.
We might of also got a half decent campaign and every game mode at launch.

That money is spent hoping for a return. That return can keep development of this game going and spill into the next is successful. Considering the mega large bank account that is Microsoft…I don’t think game development suffered with resources going to HWC.
I don’t mind the pro league it gives the game additional marketing which is always good. Now will I watch it? No, but i am not in the demographic they are after.
No ones asking you to be a fan of HCS but it really is an important aspect of what Halo is, just google Halos competitive history and it becomes pretty clear how much of a positive aspect it has had.
In terms of the weapon skins there just there for the fans of the HCS teams, you don’t need to buy them if you don’t want to.

It’s more about achieving a balance ala h3, swing too casual you get H4; swing to mlg for tgewannabe you get H5 at launch. Mechanically maps should be balanced and starts should be even. Social Game mode/campaign wise there has to be enough stuff to justify people like me (a casual) spending their money.
but for the record I have no interest in HCS or the pro-league or MLG or any of that non-sense
I enjoy watching the matches, lots of entertaining players. most my favourite players are you tubers though.
They are hardly random players. Thats like saying an international sports team are just random players. also your argument is “I don’t like it so it shouldn’t exist”.
i mean, i dont care if they do tournament or competitive thing.
But i dont think they deserve to have skin of their team. they arent god. if it goes that way, why not give skin for every popular youtuber that promote Halo 5? lol
it was optional to watch HCS but now ill see those AR skins in my random game.
i only watched the championship final and in my opinion, its was boring to see the team wearing winter caps destroying the other team which i dont even remember the name.
edit: of course they are better. they work and comunicate as a team while im alone playing with random.( my friend are too bad to play with me lol )
Considering there are multiple threads a day with essentially the exact same title, no, you arent the only one.
I for one am glad 343 goes out of their way to reward players. It’s a nice break from the random rewards of REQ packs. What’s wrong with some weapon skins dedicated to the players who are world champions at their game? Why does that have to be an issue for so many people?
