Seriously, it seems like everyone here is complaining about something to do with the game, and i’m just sitting here hoping other people actually like the game.
Besides, I can always find a game on matchmaking, especially objective gametypes, so obviously people are playing the game, so what gives?
In my opinion it is absurdly good. This is my first time coming onto the waypoint forums as I was looking for a changelog for the update. Very surprised to see any negative reaction for the game. I have actually felt bad for Bungie due to how well 343i has done on a first attempt (not kidding).
Oh well, cant please everyone. Also, player numbers are fine. Having over 200k at peak hours and being number 2 on xbox in a call of duty driven world is just fine. If I recall correctly Halo 3 was ballpark 150k average around the same time. The multiplayer is just incredible, as is the rest of the game. Spartan Ops leaves a bit to be desired, but it is still a nice addition and I like the episodic style.
They have something to build on here for sure and it will be difficult to eclipse with the sequels. An issue Bungie also ran into. It is a good issue to have. Just my two cents.

If it wasn’t for the fact that all of these arguments have been rehashed after just about every Halo release (baring the first of course), I might have worried.
I’d be willing to bet that it’s more to do with very low attention spans and a world filled with shiny distractions. That too is just anecdotal though.
Whether or not the world at large likes a game does not detract from my own enjoyment of it, unless Halo goes the way of Lawn Darts.
