Am I the only one noticing more A.i in the campaign?

I don’t know about you guys, but there seem to be a lot more enemies in the later levels (Specifically, anything involving flood). examples:

The Library: the first time you get trapped between two closed doors, and flood come rushing out of the vents. also, when you get to the last door, and about 30 of them come pouring out.

Two Betrayals: When you destroy the second pulse generator, and about 20 of them spawn in the hallway.

The Maw: When that first door busts open.

Maybe I’m being paranoid, but I noticed a lot of little different things in the campaign. Eventually I’ll make a list.

Could be a bug created accidently, or you’re rushing the level and the A.I aren’t spawning correctly.

My hunches anyway. I’ve not notice this.

Just ran a test on The Maw on heroic, CEA versus oXbox HCE. I counted 10 Flood behind the first door in both games.

I didn’t count them, but I didn’t feel like those other areas you mentioned had more enemies in them than in the original.

There are mechanical differences between the two games, but I doubt those spawns are examples of them. Aesthetics can easily change how a game feels to play, you should do a precise count if you’re very interested.

i played the original halo ce to realy get the changesthat were made in halo cea but i didn’t notic any changes in the amount of enemy’s maybe a bit more but that’s hard to see when your trying to kill then all

  1. It’s normal for Flood spawns to be that big in CE. It’s not exactly 30 though. I’d say 20+ is a rare number. Around 15 is more likely.
  2. Number of enemies increases with difficulty (in most cases).
  3. There are some parts in the game that have infinitely spawning enemies (none of the ones you mentioned have infinite Flood).
  4. Flood have that psychological effect in the newer graphics. H3 Flood with the brains of the super scary monsters that may not move around erratically as in H2, but are still a big threat, doing tremendous damage to all factions.

All I can say is that CEA Flood beats these slowpokes.

Also there’s parts of the game were the enemies spawn randomly, for instance one time it could be grunts, the next time it could be jackals, and this could sometimes increase size to make it more equal

This happened once while I was playing campaign, I researched and found out it happened to other players too. Pretty much another ending of the campaign lol.
