Am I the only one not overreacting?

I am currently seeing a ton of threads complaining about the lack of ability to drop the flag. People seem to be deciding whether or not to buy Halo 4 based on this little detail. Is it just me, or does it not seem like that big of a deal at all? Some are stating that it will somehow “kill competitive,” but it seems to me that if anything, it will probably encourage more team playing, considering the rest of the team has to help the Flag carrier stay alive.

Just my two cents.

No many of us are keeping a level head about it,(read through the comments).

Am I the only one who can resist making threads arguing against people complaining about small details and such? Really, you’re only making it worse, no offense.

did you realize that flag pick up is automatic now? maybe that will worry you, because auto pick WITH the exclusion of dropping the flag WILL BE A BIG PROBLEM

Everthing in halo and upcoming halo will be incredible. I always liked halo and i will always like halo.

I like the idea on carrying the flag and having the weapon in your hand to defend yourself it does make perfect sense in the game. You’re the carrier. If your team is not around to act as bodyguards, you’re by yourself. You need to defend yourself to carry the flag back to base. Plus the flag assassinations are cool.

Didn’t you know? Every detail no matter how small can either make or break the game!!! I mean did you see the color? What were they thinking? I don’t like color so I wont like the game.

I’m totally with you. It’s seriously not a big deal and people need to get over it. I think its cool that you get to carry a pistol with the flag IMO.

Nuff’ said.

Well OP

Your not the only one.

But sadly if you think its bad now, just wait until the day after the game is out.

So is the flag slathered with glue? For the same reason people justify sprint, why wouldn’t you be able to drop something you picked up? Obviously there are more important reasons like switching to power weapons in dire situations, but it really just doesn’t make sense.

Almost every Halo 4 information drop so far has come with a serious lack of clarity. 343 needs to make a ViDoc or BTS video to explain everything that they’re doing with multiplayer.

What is with the “2 cents” thing I have been seeing around these forums recently?

Nope. you are not the only one not over reacting. I honestly am shocked at the levels of butthurt I am seeing. almost getting to the level that the ME3 ending kerfuffle was. (Ill admit I was a part of that)

It’s another word for opinion, been around as long as the US had pennies.

Also, OP, you’re not alone, I’m not over reacting over the new stuff, cause I realize that 343i isn’t making a Halo game for me, so I’m just fine with a few things here and there that I disagree with, and I voice my opinion over them, even if the rest of the community acts like stuck up pigs over it.

I don’t like it but i’m not going to cancel my pre-order because of THAT. However, i’m not a CTF player (I don’t really like Objective games) and i can see how they’d get mad.

I really don’t like this change but im not THAT bothered by it.

You’re not the only one, but I am getting annoyed by the community every time I come back on here.

I’m not happy about not being able to drop the Flag, at all. that changes your whole plan. you have to know when you pick up that Flag, you can’t ever, ever drop it unless you either score it or die. see a Sword and don’t want the other team to take it? too bad. it makes it long term. imagine playing on Breakneck, and you couldn’t ever drop the Flag to save yourself.

it does make teamwork more essential, but long term flag carrying does not sound good IMO.

but to cancel my preorder? No, that’s just stupid, and overreacting, and people that say that are lieing.

Mass Effect 3 ending had me depressed for a week. I was so annoyed at the endings. We’ve played all three games and made difficult decisions just to find out it meant NOTHING.
