If haven’t heard, it is acquired at Req lvl 3… I have a bad feeling that a flying vehicle will be very unbalanced at such a low lvl. The beginning of thematch is going to be Wasp central, if you aren’t in one, then too bad.
Either it will be all out Wasp warfare, or there will be a huge surge in plasma pistols, which I definitely won’t be stoked about the latter more so…

People complain about being rushed at their base at beginning of match lol. They have another thing coming, which is a Wasp rush. Easily more preferable than a full health and shielded Spartan, I would think.
It’s like having full control of a Warthog with shields and twin rocket launchers. I guarantee that Armories in the beginning will know a whole new meaning of Suppressive fire.

It’s cool since it’s hard to get Banshees in Warzone Assault.
Good, that’ll make people use something besides Battle Rifles. Or give a good counter to those things.

Precisely. And I intend to be one of those Spartans, because I’m much better at support roles than being in the thick of it. But I’d never partake in a wasp swarm. 3-4 at most.

Air support is the best support. I’m also planning on being one of those guys, not because I can’t fight but because I love to be in human air vehicles.
And judging by a quick read of your file, you can fly with me anytime, Spartan.

Depends on how many Wasps are in the air. The quicker a team has about 4 out than the other team, the easier it is for Ground team to lock down a bottom armory. All it takes is about 2 shotguns down below and extra ground people to have a solid lock on bottom armory. You can believe no1 will be jumping on top of an Armory only to get 4 Twin rockets to the face…
The Wasp is the new evolved rush, and I bet here will be complaints more than ever. Luckily, I typically role with a team. The Randoms have much less of a chance to do anything once a team has Air control so early. It’s going to be gruesome

your problem is, you assume warzone teams are that smart, on average you will barely face teams that coordinated, and the people who get them, might save them for firefight
I’m not even sure with its rarity such a tactic will even be supported. Its not like multiple guys pull out Razor’s Edge, Open Hand, or Blissful summer. Then again being a vehicle you don’t have to worry about dying and losing your req.
To be honest I would treat it like a level 5 req and wait to use the Wheel man armour mod, but if theres gonna be wasp rushes I better pull out my ONI and sword needler warthogs out and make sure my driving is on point.
The map I’m worried about is Raid on Apex 7, as those hunters will get owned by air which is a hard counter.

True, I’m probably over exaggerating, but the Wasp will at least be popular at first, so it will see high usage, especially since it’s not that rare. I personally would take a good ONI Hog or Needler hog driver over a Wasp. If it’s almost as attainable as a Ghost, then it will so some high usage regardless of coordination. This is just my examination, so I may be wrong on everything.
The only true thing to fear, is can the wasp carry people and a mantis?
The only map I am remotely concerned about in regards to the Wasp is Warzone Assualt on Apex 7. Currently, the defenders can easily win if people focus on team firepower on the attackers (I usually stick with my assault rifle and aid in assists and taking down shields). With the Wasp in play at such an early REQ level, defending the Spire is probably going to be impossible most games. Especially if you have 2 or 3 people in Wasps while the rest are attacking from the ground.
This could possibly be exploited on other maps (I know, not really an exploit but it’s still going to be just as frustrating) depending on the area.
