Am I late on this info?

Idk if this aritcle has been brought up yet, or if this website is even a reliable source, but I stumbled upon this very informative article about Halo 4.

It basically states:
-Halo 4 will feel more like Halo CE, in terms of exploration and your approach to situations (you get to choose how to approach the situation)
-Huge campaign maps
-The Covies are still a part of the story line
-The covies are allies with the humans, but under the the shield planet, maybe no humans or covie got the memo of the alliance
-The video we saw of the chief waking from cryo sleep wasn’t the first time that he woke up since we last saw him in the legendary ending of Halo 3

So I’m wondering, is this old news?

It is somewhat old, but I don’t think a lot of people have seen it.

I’m pretty sure a lot of that is speculation by the author of the article.

I have not seen this article yet. Thank you.

I hope we see a reformed covenant with new species and about 4 years IntO the future so the UNSC would have all new vehicles

Huge maps?

I actually posted a thread with this link not too too long ago (maybe a couple of weeks ago?). Still, it’s mostly speculation, especially the part about the Covenant and UNSC already being on the shield world, and this seems to be mostly speculated based on the fake “leak” about the Shield World being called Sigma 7. Remember that this “leak” mentioned that the Warthog would now be a hovering vehicle with anti-grav plates instead of wheels (which was proven wrong with our look at the Halo 4 Warthog) and also said that we would have weapon customization (which would greatly change Halo’s gameplay, and Frankie has said that they weren’t going to change the gameplay in super drastic ways that would stop it from feeling like a Halo game).

In short, it’s speculation that should be taken with a grain of salt or several dozen.

You are very welcome.

> Huge maps?

Apologies, I meant huge campaign maps. Unlike the smaller Halo 2&3 campaign maps

Wow, the Warthog being a hovering vehicle? Figures that this article seems too good to be true. I guess we will have to wait till sometime in 2012 to get any more “official” information. Who knows, maybe the author is spot on…or off.

Not to me, thanks for the info.

I’d take that article with a grain of salt. Quite honestly, I hope they don’t bring back the Covenant in any form for Halo 4. 343 should be able to make their own enemies and challenges and honestly the whole “The defeated enemy/organization comes back!” thing is a cliche. But as for CE-like exploration and scale, yes please.

I didnt know 25% of that.

Thank you

I never saw this until now. Pretty informative, so thanks dude

Humans and Covenant are allies on Sigma 7? I guess they might have been fighting at first but then realized that they needed each other to sustain a proper population. I like the new warthog, I want exploration, Will there be Lore for forerunners throughout the game.

“Halo 4 (A New Hope) will climax with the destruction of Sigma 7 itself”
Darn. Then what’s the story if we destroy the planet?

“a major victory before the inevitable setbacks of Halo 5’s (Empire Strikes Back)”

So this means, Master Chief will be humiliated by the ancient enemy, and will kill the enemy once and for all in Halo: 6?

Well i like the article and how this has given us a new hope for future news of Halo: 4
