I really hate how clawing the controller feels, but i hate not being able to aim while jumping. that’s why I always used bumper jumper
In reach I would just avoid jetpack most of the time, which made normal grip bumper jumper ok.
however
Halo 4 has the hardlight shield and possibly thruster pack which might need right joystick direction with button presses.
Does anyone have any insight on how these abilities work in terms of button mechanics? Do you have to hold the x button down to keep the shield out? or is it a press on, aim, press off kind of thing?
Does thruster pack work with left joystick movement?
For the Hardlight Shield, you just press the button. You can probably press it again to put it away, but most of the time it’ll just disappear on it’s own after you’ve used it. Also, I’m pretty sure you can control the Thruster Pack’s direction with the control stick.

Pretty friggn sweet ain’t it? Lol things a god send for those of us who love BJ ( lol bj) but hate clawing.
It fits most wired and wireless controllers for the 360. I would suggest only Microsoft controllers though. They show it off on the wireless controllers but the front opening is more than big enough. My only complaints are having to re adjust my set screws once a week or so. Other than that I would suggest a lot of time in campaign to acquaint yourself with it. It’s a little strangest first, I mean your violating years of muscle memory reactions. But once you get past that the damn things a dream. But it has a definite learning curve.

Press the left or right Bumper 2 map utton on the bottom of the controller. While holding it press the key you want mapped.
You can map A, B, X, Y, right stick button, left stick button, right trigger, left trigger, start, and back.
It is a fantastic controller. The quality can be hit or miss sometimes though as with all Razer products. When you get a good one though they last forever.
