Yesterday I played a BTB game on Exile. I got in the gunner of the gauss hog, my friend drove. I got 55 kills, 0 deaths. My friend got 55 wheelmans 0 deaths. I did not cheat, just know how to aim and my friend is a good driver. I have the film saved to prove it.
Well, a mister [REDACTED] is who I killed the most and I guess it made his epeen feel a bit too small because he messaged me to inform me that he reported me, and called me a “NUBSAUCE ;D” whatever that means…
Now, I’m sure some others whose dignity was ruined in the game reported me especially if they were [REDACTED] friends.
Should I be concerned that I will get banned or punished in some way by Microsoft of 343i? If I do, is there any way to prove my side of the story?
If you did something wrong you will get banned or warned. If it happened as you say it happened then you won’t get in trouble. Reports are actually investigated so they know what happened.
You will be fine. Kids send messages like that all the time once they get their butts handed to them in a game. The banhammer doesn’t strike people just for having an amazing game. It looks for anomalies, like other profiles being logged in and not active, map glitching, unusual lag spikes coming from the same profile constantly…etc, etc.
If you went 55-0 for 20 matches straight then yeah, they may take notice. Don’t worry, you are OK.
So you are asking will you get banned for smashing noobs and making them cry aka playing the game then no…if no one knows how to use a plasma pistol that is their fault. I went 42/0 with the new vehicle (forgot the name of the mec) because not a single person used a plasma pistol but just charged at me one by one. Pst him back and tell him to learn how to play.

No, you will not be banned. I follow the “Official Ban Thread” and I have not seen one ban for too many legitament kills.
Maybe you’d get a Mic ban if the guy reported you for abusing people over the mic, multiple times. But, that I doubt.
Since your friend actually got medals, and moved around, that’s enough for the auto ban to see that he was playing, and did not afk.
Going 55-0 happens tbh, just if its somehow consistent, then it brings up flags. Don’t worry about those that reported you. They are just mad that they are that bad.
Ya you are fine, same thing happened to me when I revenant sniped in halo reach. Everyone messaged me saying reported for aim bot, while in fact the revenant just gave passengers ridiculous auto aim.
Bottom line: If you didn’t cheat then you won’t get banned. The system doesn’t get fooled by a couple really awesome games. I had an 80-0 game Gunning in the hog in Reach… no ban.
