Hey guys, just wanted to know if whipping the sniper all across the screen is an okay way to snapshot:
So am I doing something wrong, or will it just come with practice?

Whatever works for you, man. I personally keep the reticle closer to my target then make quick micro-adjustments. Depends on the situation.

I’m normally terrible with the sniper rifle, but I am sure that just like most things you get better with practice.
Keep in mind that your movement stick is good for making adjustments on the horizontal axis. I noticed in your clip that you were jumping up and down and relying entirely on your aim stick. It’s easier, for me at least, to stay grounded (unless you’re going for airborne snapshots). Also, use your scope if it’s an easy kill like the guy on the rock in the beginning.

You should definitely break that habit. It’s easier to aim up/down than it is side-to-side. Learn to strafe and combine it with your thruster pack.
EDIT:
Also, you trying to be fancy might have gotten your teammate killed. Not that big of deal, but something to keep in mind if you ever start to play competitively. Help out your teammates.

yeah, I though I was doing a whip shot, but I looked at the way Proximitty and a few others do it, and realized that they STOP at the enemy’s head, instead of going all around the screen, which is what I did. I’m usually pretty comfortable with snapshots though, just didn’t want to develop a bad habit.

It was the “Power Player” medal being awarded.
