I beat halo on legendary solo, start to finish offline, while at sea (I’m in the U.S. Navy). I have the lone wolf achievement and the legend of 117 achievement. I thought when I came home I’d get the armor, now I’m thinking this may not be the case… Any help? I invested a lot of time into beating this game solo…

got to complete them online for the armour - because it has to unlock the commendations on your service record.
I ended up recompleting a few just because of connection issues.
Is the armour strictly a solo reward? or just legendary completion? I think its just completion, just find 3 other people looking to bash it out and you can clear the game so fast compared to solo.
Solo legendary my completion time was 12 hours or something. With a party immediately after it was like 5 hours. And then if you use speed running tactics in places you can probably shave off another hour easy.
Might be worth posting/checking in the recruiting forum. Bound to be plenty of people looking for a speedy playthrough.

It’s just completion. My brother and I did it splitscreen and got the armour.
OP, totally boned, sorry. You’ll have to replay and do it online, unfortunately.
You should be able to do the missions from the last rally point on the missions you need to redo, unless they fixed that.
Since the unlocking of the armor is linked to the commendation, which is linked to XBL, unfortunately, you are SOL. 
The good news is that you can run through it co-op and it’ll still unlock.
