As Armor Lock has been confirmed to not be in the game a new armor ability is going to have to come in to fill its niche while not being as over balanced as Armor Lock was. My suggestion for this would be a jackal shield, it would take about a second to activate, so if somebody has outplayed you it won’t be a get out of jail free card. In addition it won’t be able to unstick plasma grenades from you and will only protect you from side. As with all jackal shields it will have a spot where you can be shot, you will not be able to wield a weapon while using it. It would have a duration of around 5-6 seconds. Also, it would instantly deactivate if you tried to sprint with it. What do you think? Too powerful? Not powerful enough?
Better idea. Jackal Shield / Energy Sword combo. Allowing to make Gladiator fight in custom game.

Hmmm, maybe that would be a custom game option if Jack Shields were in the game? It would be a little unbalanced for normal gameplay -.-

I still don’t get why they didn’t ever put the Kig-yar point defense gauntlet in an Halo even if only campaign or forge.

I just don’t like the idea, honestly. I think a Jackal Shield as a map pickup would be cool, but not as an armor ability.

Well, yeah I would like to see all abilities like that but I guess Halo has moved past that.

I dunno, I don’t think the niche that was previously filled by armour lock needs to be filled once again in Halo 4.

We’ve strayed far enough from the Halo formula. We don’t need anymore crutches dooming the skill gap.
Why are more forum posts about adding armor abilities to halo 4, I don’t know about you guys but we already have enough armor abilities in halo reach we don’t need more in halo 4 we need less.
This reminded me of the shield that the elite used in the first trailer for halo CE when it was announced initially for the xbox.
Although I could see it getting out of hand if an entire team used the shields at once.
