Since the community mod Arrival (made by Crisp) which takes place on an Alternate mission of Sierra 117 where the Master Chief doesn’t wake up and the Flood arrive on Earth. Other mods like Branching Sickness and even the Pavlov Halo 3 ODST mod. I got inspired to write a short story about this similar scenario of an alternate universe were the Flood arrive on Earth before the attack on Voi. And with 343’s official Flood Firefight mod this has only re-enforced this new narrative of Flood becoming a greater focus of attention in the Halo Community. (at least from my perspective) And I’m wondering, what other scenarios are there to experiment with, and are you excited or spectral of the new Flood Firefight coming to MCC.
I began writing this several weeks ago, but didn’t know much on what to do with it. Then I saw that 343 were releasing Firefight: Flood for Halo 3 ODST on MCC. And decided that it was a good time as any to post this. It may not be the best writing in the world, but I enjoyed the process of writing it.
