So there’s been a lot of ‘broback’ about the ‘brofest’ at the end of games in H5. 343i said they created the ending sequence because they wanted to play up the competitive aspects of gameplay. With that in mind, I have a suggestion: Why not have the Red and Blue teams shaking hands afterwards? Good sportsmanship, even if it’s only visual, fits right in with the highest levels of competition in professional sports (lets forget the Patriots/Seahawks brawl for the purposes of this conversation).
How? Like in the beginning of a soccer game?
I can’t imagine this would fit tbh. It would rather feel awkward
I just want the end game sequences to be gone altogether. When I lose a game I don’t want to watch the other team’s Spartans nodding at me like, “That’s right, you lost, b*tch!” And when I win I don’t want to be that guy.
How about a montage of kills from the game (best kills like sticks, snapshots, etc. and final kill)? I think that would be cool.
Or we could just scrap end cutscenes entirely.

no we dont want a final kill cam… people will just go for 360s no scopes… players wasting time trying to get a cool killcam. thats all thats going to happen. dont bring that cod community here please
They are keeping the intro and outro sequences but toning done the “bro-ness” of it. I’d like to see the Spartans show good sportsmanship, or have it be a choice between being nice or not like with Far Cry 3’s “Punish” and “Mercy” choices.

I was just spitballing, man.

I imagined the MVPs from each team shaking hands at the end, maybe with their team mates standing in the background. Short but sweet.

No, the MVPs will shake hands but the other teammates will be tea baggin the losing team. And it will be painfully long.
here is the proper sequence imo.
>Game Over!
>Scorecard displays for 5 seconds
>loading screen
>post game lobby still with the other team and carnage report already up for a 45 second intermission. If you want to talk -Yoink- or say gg, or both, now is the time for you to do it yourself. Not to have some stupid, uncontrollable post-game animation do it for you.
>searching automatically restarts after 45 seconds, unless the other team stays then you jump right into the next one.
I think they should keep the end game sequences, but replace the current cutscenes ones of the winning team teabagging the losers. That will DEFINITELY make people try insanely hard to win.
Honestly, I will love the hell out of 343i if they put in this as an end sequence, especially for BTB.

I would prefer awkward over the cringe-worthy over the top "bro"ness we have now.

Best. Idea. Ever. Why didn’t 343i ever think of that one??? This should be standard in every Halo game!
…oh wait.

This is spot on… Halo 5 doesn’t need anything else to point at it being cod.

This is the best idea I see on this thread… just no teabagging, I don’t want my I eyes to bleed, that sounds like something a youtube parody would do.
OP i hate to tell you, but sportsmanship over xbl has died a few years ago. i never hear good game or anything courteous. its all insults… also this is a rated M game its not going to teach sportsmanship lol.
The childish, cringe worthy, and unprofessional bull crap needs to go and should have never been put in to begin with.

You mean the same stuff professional Military personnel do constantly. You mean the stuff special forced do all the time.
especially when dealing with a game that invented tea-bagging, one known for the dude bros college frat A holes, One known for inventing BK’s
Yup really professional.
The high fives Is something just about ANY military professional does.

I know, I know it has. Believe me. Though more often then not people simply don’t bother playing with a mic in in the first place. Oh man, I miss the H2/H3 days when people without mics were the exception rather than the rule.
I hate to cry ‘cultural change’ and all that, but one reason I thought this could be a fun idea is that it changes the atmosphere a little. XBL had at least a little dignity at one point, I don’t see why it isn’t possible to do that again. Especially when 343i wants to focus on the competitive side of PvP.
