I bought MCC via Steam
On PC, there is a glitch where if the game is in fullscreen mode and you Alt+Tab, the game may disappear, but not crash. You’d have to open Task Manager and kill the game from there as you cannot go back in. The workaround to this is by setting the game to either windowed or borderless windowed
Call me whatever you like, but I find borderless windows to be tedious to work with. I may click the show desktop button and all my other applications will minimize, but Halo MCC will not
So is the Alt+Tab glitched fixed with the new update, or not? And if not, I find it stupid for it to have not been fixed by now, especially for such a frequently-used hotkey
No it’s still very much there. For me it’s not consistent though, so sometimes I will Alt Tab to change the music I’m listening to, or reply to a message and it doesn’t crash, but that’s mainly when I’m not playing campaign. On campaign it does the glitch every time for me.
Kind of annoying a bug that’s this bad has been around for years now. I also get other game breaking bugs at launch, so I guess they have bigger issues to deal with.
Hasn’t been fixed yet I believe, but for the moment you can use borderless mode which will prevent that issues from happening until a fix is released
the virtual desktop fix that was posted on these forums might work for you… worked for me
If you are one of those who do Alt Tab continuously (I include myself) the best thing is that you always play in “Borderless”, since being in window mode it minimizes and maximizes quickly and many possibilities of crash are avoided
