After rampantly looking through threads trying to find out whats up with the specializations, and the community seems to only have the capability to spam the same link over and over with details I find particularly questionable lol.
> The lack of communication from 343 about this all along is disturbing…
It seems the more I read Bsangel’s twitter the more answer we could’ve used awhile ago are there, well now I have reason to actually look at twitter lol.
Clears things up? Lack of communication? Reliable sources? I swear people are getting dumber in the Internet. An OFFICIAL ad stated you would get a code by the 30th. Everyone is saying that also. There is nothing confusing about that nor was there a lack of communication from 343. It was stated CLEARLY, people are idiots when it comes to comprehending what they read and apparently are impatient little -Yoink- when it comes to FREE stuff.
> Just be happy that you get it at all… It was originally a Limited edition ONLY bonus…
Personally, I don’t care about the actual specializations; the inability to level is what’s annoying. Microsoft is encouraging everyone to play lots of Halo - yet here I am blocked at level 70 because I played lots of Halo. Capping ranks was dumb.
Frankly, it’s very frustrating when I took vacation time to play Halo 4 and no-life it.

I’ve been an RPG fan for many years and ranking up is one of my favorite things. Also, don’t want to waste commendation xp and what not.
So I have to wait any where from a single day to nearly 2 weeks to start leveling again? Nice, I love 343i they’re so good at what they do and they’re so convenient and on top of things!
I love getting put in hopper servers when their awesome servers get filled up!
I love waiting to level up and continue playing!
I love the xp cap to make everyone even! (even though no one is)
I love that they did a pay to play! (buy the preoder and level your -Yoink- off)
I love that they address the community on their website! (on twitter not waypoint)
I love all the new armor they put in the game! (New paint for my old armor? COOL!)
I love the aimer acceleration! (for those head shots you don’t want!)
I love everything 343i is! (:
If it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be playing this awesome game!
(The game really is awesome despite everything wrong with it)

EXACTLY! I find it a waste of time if I’m earning “experience” but I cannot put it towards anything?
If people want to blame anything, blame the mt dew dbl xp gimmick. Look at what happened to CODMW3 when they had their dbl xp? People ranked up so fast there was no longer a point to being 10 when everyone else had it.
I’m guessing the cap was to keep that same situation from happening. If you’re going to have promotional XP then cap the promotional XP not the regular XP.
Seriously…who’s running the dam ship over there 343?
Not too mention, all of use who have reached 70, are not getting rewarded for it at all. I’m not saying that I deserve a -Yoinking!- cookie or anything, but I’ll be -Yoink!- if I reach level 70 before the majority of players, only to have them catch up to me because I’m waiting on a -Yoinking!- code. The fact that it could come between the 20th-30th is just -Yoink-. My luck is, all the people who aren’t even close to 70, will get their codes first. I honestly believe that the level caps were stupid. Granted, those who did go out and get the limited edition should have the specializations, but they should be level capped just like the rest of us. They shouldn’t be allowed to go past level 70 because they bought a different version of the same game. They are rewarded enough with unlocking all the specializations right off the bat and being able to pick a choose what they want to start off as, when they reach level 50 that is. That being said, it’s also a stupid time to post specialization codes. It’s the holidays, so most people are not even going to be getting on xbox live the next week or so, due to travelling and family. I honestly could give two -Yoink- and a -Yoink- about the specializations, but not being able to level up and not being able to unlock specializations blows -Yoink-. I have been a level 70 for 5 days now and it’s annoying because I am close to finishing certain commendations that give you 10,000 xp. Why would I want to play a game and risk losing that amount of xp due to a -Yoink- level cap that should have never been instated in the first place? That’s like buying a prostitute but only getting a -Yoink!- out of the deal. The only reason I didn’t get limited edition was because I bought 4 copies of the game. I felt bad playing it and not having my little brothers and friends, who couldn’t afford it, play with me. What do I get out of the deal? A level cap, 2 specializations, a pissed off girlfriend and no reason to play.

I agree with this angry statement! Ranks should never be locked based on edition of game. We should be able to play as much as we want and level up as much as we want. And from a competitive standpoint - it sucks to see people catching up when I no-lifed the game lol.
I don’t care about anything else, but don’t cap my leveling. Knock COD all you want, but they never blocked anyone from leveling.
Hell, I forgave them for having my armor glitch and not unlock anymore - but this just plain old sucks.
Exactly my thoughts. I love competitive play, which is why I’m doing MLG this year. Seeing as they don’t have an MLG playlist, that leaves me with Team Slayer Pro… but wait… I’M LEVEL CAPPED! So I can’t earn XP to level up and any game I do play, challenged completed or Commendations are all just wasted XP because I played the game like a boss. Yet I get emails from Xbox Live saying “Your dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed, keep working at your ranking” blah blah blah. What?! Are you -Yoinking!- kidding me? If it hasn’t gone unnoticed, then why haven’t I gotten my stupid -Yoink- sucking codes yet? Why am I still a level 70 with 2 specializations? Oh wait, it’s because instead of buying the limited edition, I bought my family members and friends copies of the game. Do I care that I can’t advance, -Yoink- yes, but only because all who bought the limited edition can. I’m not asking for special attention, I just want my -Yoinking!- code so I can go back to no lifing it up with my friends… who are all level 70. This -Yoink- is so stupid. How are you going to send me an email telling me to play a lot, only to shut me down and force me not to play, due to xp? That’s like giving someone a hamburger, having them take 1 bite and quickly snatching it away, telling them they have to wait for week before they finish it. -Yoink!- -Yoink-, 343. There is a reason why Halo 2 and 3 were the best multiplayer experiences. Ranking systems, not leveling. Clan ladder systems. MLG Playlists. No limitations because some prepubescent 9 year old who isn’t technically old enough to play the game, has his mom buy him the limited edition. Most of all, legitimate updates and support. How about you guys give us some insight? I shouldn’t have to search through a million posts on the forums to find news about upcoming -Yoinking!- events. It should be on the front -Yoinking!- page of the news, instead of -Yoink- about what how many bullets it takes to kill a person in swat.
