Alright 343....

This join in game BS has to go…

I search slayer pro solo all the time, I hate getting put into games where I’m am already losing by 20 kills.

I ask why would you guys do something like this?

You know…thats a keyboard language right? It has nothing to do with the typing.

I’ve turned a few games around with JiP. My friends and I have anyhow.

that’s not really the point though. Every game I play especially in a “Pro” playlist I want there to be a level playing field.

Do a little research.

Quitting, has always been a problem with Halo games.

To help remedy this, and to get people into game fasters. JIP was made.

Now, if someone quits. They will be replaced, so that the teams are even.

Many cry, “Well then I’m losing!” Yeah sure. But you can play the game and turn the match around. And at the end of the match, you are with a group and you get to vote on your map and it starts fresh.

This prevents the 4v3s, 4v2s, 4v1s that we had to deal with in Reach.

It sucks. Nuf said.

No it doesn’t.

And if you don’t like it, there are ways to prevent it. Make a party and you are less likely to get thrown into an already moving match.

So not “Nuff said.”

Many people like it. I get to play more games. And I don’t have to sit through endless 4v1s.

It’s a great addition.

Still why should I get a penalized because other people quit out of games? Why should I suffer a loss (Most of the time) because other people decided to quit out?

Gives you waaay too many BS losses which is why it sucks. People quit get over it. Half the time JIP doesn’t fill up teams anyways, it just does not work for halo since halo is all about winning not individual performance, unlike CoD.

Snipe, bro. You should be confident in your own skill and your BR’s firepower to overcome any team, any time. I for one know I’m more than good enough to pull back a 40 kill disadvantage when I get that JiP. You just gotta get some more skill bro, but don’t worry, it’ll take a lot of practice and a lot of pain to get to my level.

You are not very smart when it comes to halo… When and if a MLG playlist comes out, playing vs. high level teams you will be able to do nothing “alone” with your “br”

You underestimate my skill with a Battle Rifle, bro.

Well if you have enough time you can try and turn the match around. One of the problems of JIP that it quite often throws you into a match where the game ends 10 seconds later.

I joined a game of BTB where the enemy score was 980 and my team at 620. Whilst I was spawning I hear “Enemy team nearing victory” and as I spawn the enemy gets to 1000 and the game ends with a loss for me. There was no way I could affect anything in that game.

The problem with this is that it means stats are suddenly worthless. Some of us actually like the wins/losses stats and the way that JIP currently works means that this stat is effectively useless.

JIP needs a serious rethink. The idea in principal is really good, its just let down by its implementation.

For a second, let’s think out of the box. Let’s spend more than 5 seconds thinking about something.

Instead of completely dismissing a valid idea, we can tweak it. There’s absolutely no reason join-in-progress should go. It needs to be modified considerably; but it can work flawlessly.

If a single team scores at least 50% of the points necessary to win; no joins are allowed (this number obviously can be changed- just throwing it out there).

Don’t let games start until they have maximum players.

The major issues with JIP are almost solved by just modifying those two concepts. It’s not valid to just nix the entire idea.

The best solution would be to make two sets of playlists for unranked matches and ranked matches, the latter of which excluding join in progress.

Since that isn’t the case, We’ll just have to understand that W/L ratio isn’t going to be totally accurate. Perhaps that means the world to some people, but in the scheme of things it’s a fairly rare occurence if you manage to stay in the same game type after joining.

It’s fun to be competetive and all, but I guarantee you no one is going to give a rat’s -Yoink- if your W/L is or isn’t the most stellar and impressive stat in your crucial Halo 4 gaming career.
