I feel this is long over due. Now I don’t have all the details ironed out but will give you the basics of what should happen. #1 a platinum pack for us seasoned players who want guaranteed better stuff, rare or higher. Or even players who save for these packs. On the other end you need to bring back and make available via points or money the recruit pack, the one with a br, DMR and stuff like that. As bloated as the req system is now it’s very unwelcoming to new players, they deserve something to help them out. Last but not least break up the pack for those still unlocking stuff. Here is my proposal… now I don’t have a name for them as they kinda fall between the silver and gold level, maybe titanium? But they would be cosmetics, vehicles and weapons… now these packs would guarantee two permanent unlocks and six reqs items. Now if you open a cosmetic pack it unlocks two cosmetic items and then six random reqs of whatever weapons you have unlocked or boost should you not have enough or a lot of weapons unlocked. Then if you open a vehicle or weapon pack you get three of each wepaon/vehicle you unlocked. Now if you unlocked a load out weapon you would get boost or weapons you have unlocked. Now I feel these should be the same cost in points and money as a gold pack though since they are guaranteed unlocks. These packs would become unavailable after unlocking all they have to offer.
I think this would have a great two way effect. The veterans would get some good stuff and then new players wouldn’t be so disgruntled about not getting stuff they want as it would increase their chances greatly of getting what they want. H5 is very unwelcoming to new players. Also.us veteran players get disgruntled when we open gold after gold and get silver level stuff.
But long story short packs need to become more stream line and specific to really give H5 some shelf life.
What we really need is the ability to throw any sight and attachment together. Why even use a Morph sight or Hybrid sight?

Yeah I said a long time ago we needed an armory so to speak to build what ever weapon we want load out wise. But I know that won’t happen. Heck I would be happy with the ability to “trash” all the load outs we don’t want so we don’t have to fish through them to use the ones we want. The only loadout weapons I want are the extended mag and then ones with the bayonet attachment.

Heck I would rather they fixed the fact that the loadout I have picked will randomly change when I die. I usually only use a couple of different loadouts but I have to change them multiple times. It is very frustrating.
As to the OP, a refresh to the system would be nice. I like some of these ideas. Especially theme based packs. I can’t imagine coming in and starting from scratch now. The Req pool is so bloated.
Yah they should give all the new players a ton of common reqs like a shotgun, plasma pistol, BR, grenade launcher, etc. to not discourage them. These wouldn’t be certifications though.
Unfortunately while this would be great there’s a very slim chance of this happening. You’re better off advocating this for H6.
I agree. All I wanted for Christmas was a Nornfang, Phaeton, or H2 BR. It’s now mid January and I’m still without any of the three. I’m SR 115 and have been done with Silvers for a loooong time.

Yeah, the way I could see it happening is having the attachments be a modifier to a base weapon. Rather than every sight-attachment combo being a separate entity, only the base gun would be. Then there’s two data tags - one for the sight, one for the attachment. That would clean up the weapon list in Forge a ton, and might be tidier in selecting them in WZ too. Select the weapon, then the sight, then the attachment.

The sad truth
Any major changes we’re likely to get will almost certainly be Forge or gametype ones, rather than base mechanics.
