So the campaign was a blast! Played in on normal-legendary was a blast but after getting all the skulls, coating that I can find out there and beating all the difficulties, I’m now bored and done with the game
The multiplayer NEEDS and update soon as in sick of Playibg three game modes on three maps, and the progression is just so damn terrible
For myself I love myself custizaton! But unfortunately I have to wait for my luck for something I think is nice spend -Yoink!- 100$ for just two-three armor sets for one Spartan!!! And doing something as simple as mixing the cores would do more as my reach armor is collecting dust as the armor with a cool chest part and helmet is used, and the coating oh my god the coatings are laughable, so until forge/custom games are added or a few maps and a fix in the “million of customization possiblities”(man that aged soooo good didn’t it) I’m ditching infinite to MCC to play with more options to play around with.
I enjoyed my time with the campaign, I completed it on legendary with every collectable obtained & side-objectives completed, I see myself replaying it in the future
The multiplayer however is just …barebones
there is no Forge for people to make custom games, no social modes such as Infection to lose time in, no casual rank system to keep people engaged, a serious lack of social features such as pre & post game lobbies and no PvE (343i are pretty infamous at this point for neglecting PvE)
I’ve pretty much already dropped the game, I’ll return to complete an event but that’s pretty much it, the game is enjoyable but there is only so much milage you can get from a content-lacking experience.
Agreed went back to MCC just to play Forge.
The Mcc has still a good population, good choice. I’m playing mcc until they fix infinite
I’m jealous of people who squeezed an extra few hours of enjoyment out of the campaign by walking up to all the armour boxes and pressing X. Personally didn’t appreciate that being a huge part of the $60 campaign content because I’m not playing a colouful multiplayer with colours locked behind paywalls. It’s colour vomit and nobody is being original. The footage I watch is stale enough to send me back to MCC before I ever played.
That’s why they released the MCC games. Because Halo Infinite was meant to be different, but people still have the option to play those games encase they didn’t care for Halo Infinite.
So everyone wins in the long run! =]
Nah. People who love the old games, paid for them, supported the franchise, and want more of that… they/we lose out on playing a modern version of what we love.
For me, it’s a lot more than the false promises 343 made about customizations.
There is way too much to explain on how much content is actually missing from the game in just about every aspect of the game from players stats to things like Firefight…
How limited the options are
The RNG
The BP
F2P MP
Forced cross-play
90% of the earnable items are behind a paywall
There are way too many issues with MP/Open world that is unacceptable and too much to explain.
The lack of things to do in the open world that it is literally barebone.
The map designs are more of a setting for CoD than they are for Halo
The issues 343 caused with the challenges in MP that it’s pointless to play the objectives.
There are a few more things but I don’t really need to explain how this game was deliberately sabotaged for 343/Microsoft personal reasons whatever that may be. Looking at this game it’s is literally going to take years to get this game in a good place because of the higher-up’s deliberate poor decisions to make a profit.
The thing is, this Multibillion-dollar company will talk about how they have to spend time and resources and need the money for the servers, etc… but refuse to acknowledge that they are the ones that caused the issue this game has that will cost them that time and resources they will have to spend to try to do whatever to this game.
So because they messed up big time, we have to pay them to fix their mess. How is that right?
As someone who grew up on Arena Shooters starting with games like Quake. You get used to it, it’s part of life.
Shut up and buy the cat ears peasant! Theyre so zany and so fun, and allow you to really express your self!
Played MCC for the first time last night, since Infinite dropped. Spent 2 hours just enjoying myself.
A totally different experience to what I’ve been getting in Infinite.
I don’t really want to be one of those people who just drops into Infinite when events are on. And to be honest, for me the “events” are trash anyway so I may not even do that much, for awhile.
They really need a ranking/xp system similar to MCC.

Yeah, that sounds about right.
You and that Trand0 kid. Every thread. Every single thread defending this game. " eVeRyOnE wInS ". Good lord dude. Oblivious. Absolutely oblivious.
Yep that’s pretty much it and from what I can tell most people are ditching Infinite for MCC or other games because they’ve had enough of 343i’s poor management of the IP.
It’s like now on Steam 343i they have lost about 55% of their population in barely 30 days roughly. I think this could be one of 343i’s worst launch’s so far in their entire library of 343i games.
ppl didnt quit infinite because its “different” it feels and plays like a nice mix between classic and new. Feels like a nice adaptation of halo after halo 3.
It has everything to do with no social progression system, broke hit reg, broken matchmaking, broken playlists, lack of customization (most behind a paywall), lack of maps, lack of playlists and i can keep going.
What you said makes it seem like its meant to be this way and that ppl just dont like it when thats far from the truth,
yeah his response made no sense
I thought it was pretty clear that Halo Infinite was doing it’s own thing. They brought up the Master Chief Collection for those who couldn’t adapt to the future of Halo unfortunately. Like most business out there, they’re going for the latest trends, even if people don’t generally like them. More so if it means more money for them.
At least there is an alternative with the MCC games for updated versions of older games that people can enjoy who prefer the older games. It’s one of the sad truths of life now-a-days…
