Already Bored of Halo 5?

Is it just me or has anyone else already moved on to other games? I can’t get on Halo 5 and play for long periods of time without getting bored. The matchmaking should keep lobbies together and just randomize the teams again. Without this I keep playing on the same Warzone and Arena maps over and over again. Let’s not talk about how there are many playlists missing from Halo 5. At this point I am excited for many other games more than I am for Halo 6. The short campaign that left on a cliffhanger, which should have been the climax, the lack of playlists, and lack of original maps have left me not wanting to play Halo anymore. Anyone else feel the same?

I also forgot to state the fact that the REQ system is the main way to get armor. What happened to armor and helmets that are unlocked by doing specific commendations?

There’s so much to do and to collect I don’t see how can you be bored already. You do have a right to your opinion and you’re more than welcome to play something else.

Are you serious? lol…

They said the campaign would be twice as long and it wasn’t. The big team battle maps were made in forge. 343i is showing signs of laziness across the board. Halo is now a generic shooter like Call of Duty.

Yeah I have been back on MCC for the past month or so, Halo 5 desperately needs more maps and gametypes. Until or unless objective games come back I doubt I will play Halo 5 again. Even as bad as Halo 4 was I probably played that for at least a year before I moved onto something else and I thought that was leaving a Halo game behind early.

I’m not. I try and play as much as I did when the game launched, still thoroughly enjoying any and all the multiplayer I can get. Need to start a Legendary run through campaign at some point as well.

There’s nothing wrong with going to other games, don’t need to come here to fish for validation. There’s plenty of other good games available.

Yeah I’m bored of it.
Reasons:

  1. no pve mode. Firefight is desperately needed. Not pve Warzone because people would complain of getting too many assists.
  2. warzone is trash. It just is not fun
  3. not enough playlists. Need I say more?
  4. not enough maps. Not a fan of remix maps
  5. campaign is not replayable. Good story but isn’t replayable. This is where maybe a spartan ops season might be helpful.

I absolutely love Halo 5 but until the next update I’m done. The lack of playlists is unbearable. It’s hard to enjoy a game that doesn’t’ let you play the game modes you enjoy.

This Installment has been the worse of everything, somewhere everything that folks like or love about the game was lost in translation, the game is filled with flaws and lacking in many departments team make up the spawn points the dropping you in a current game with no chance of winning? Really? I don’t mind losing or getting my butt kicked but designed to lose? what is right with that. I admit as bad as I have many issues with the new game I am still trying to play it, but anyone with any Halo time knows and understand this is not what we wanted or was promised the hype for the game was greatly over rated and lacking in many aspects, I understand things change and evolve, but what this has morphed into is not the long lasting fun I was expecting more frustration and disenfranchised. And lastly 343 should take note if they wish to continue to keep this franchise alive, I do truly think that this whole new game needs to be rethought as to what has actually kept it alive for years it is in the post here all over the place and let us get the feel the integrity of a new halo with some of the old qualities that made it so great for so long. Stop the catering to the casual player for the real Halo folks will be here long after they have moved on.

I was bored with Halo 5 within a few days of getting it. It doesn’t play like classic Halo, which is a turn off right away. Its movement mechanics don’t fit the franchise. Halo 5 has actually driven me to go buy Black Ops 3 where mechanics such as sprint actually fit the gameplay style. I hadn’t bought a Call of Duty game since Modern Warfare 2. For what it’s worth, I’m having more fun with BO3 than I did with Halo 5. Though sadly, not nearly as much fun as I could be having with MCC if it’s matchmaking actually worked.

If anything halo 5 has leaned towards the more competitive hardcore players with the increased skill gap. Weapons are very well balanced. The increased speed of the game takes some getting used to, but the multiplayer is one of the best iterations of Halo. Adding multiplayer original maps not made in forge and expanding game types is needed. Quitting issues need to be addressed. Overall very good multiplayer.

The campaign ending feels a lot like Halo 2, we are left hanging. Overall gameplay is solid. Squad AI is bad…really bad (has no one played Republic Commando!?) Gunplay is good, every weapon can be useful. Enemies are generally smart and challenging. JIP for campaign is great. Overall the game is good. Halo 4 campaign was better, but Halo 5s multiplayer is much better than 4.
