With the recent update to MCC also bringing along official mod tools for Halo 3 (might span other games, I haven’t used the mod tools nor have a reason to do so. If I am using mods, I’m downloading them.) is it possible for an update to the Xbox version of MCC getting an official menu for mods? Kinda like other games we know of that support that very feature? I’m always for the idea of allowing the console counterparts to have some mod capabilities so they can at least have SOME if not all of the experience.
I would guess the main challenge would be how that would be implemented or if it needs to be implemented at all. I think it’s possible for Xbox players currently to experience some mods but they can’t host simply because they can’t do it on their end at all. Some mods would off-limits too. Getting around the anti-cheat would also need a solution on Xbox probably.

I don’t see this happening soon or really at all. 343 is already loaded up with projects such as Infinite, as well as backlogged MCC fixes and work in progress extra content. In the meantime, you may want to consider coming over to PC. A PC that could run MCC is very affordable, and you could experience all the mods you want right away.

I actually am already on PC. I was asking in the perspective of a PC user that was interested in seeing if there was potential for Xbox users to have the ability to more easily experience mods on their own. I moved to PC 1 or 2 years ago and it’s a good rig that’ll probably do me good for a good while. I honestly love it more suggest it for more people if you have the time and money to manage one. I recommend looking into building it yourself too. I don’t think Halo is a very demanding game so you could a build PC roughly for the price of a console and still get a good experience, assuming you can find the right parts for the right price anyways.
