Almost perfect in my mind but...

So I got this game last week and its definitely bringing back some mad deja vu from 10 years ago in good way. Halo: CE has always been my favorite Halo and this feels close enough if not better during multiplayer. But I have a few questions:

  1. Has anyone heard anything about how fast 343 is thinking in terms of new maps or other key updates? I’d love to have Blood Gulch on this disc. I know its on Reach but nonetheless, if I’m trying to get friends from 10 years ago… or when I was 16 to start playing Halo again… much less games in general, there not going to want to buy 2 games. It’d be nice to quickly gog back and forth between games. The “lets all switch discs to play a different map” card is not going to happen. I specifically would like BLood Gulch and Chill Out but I could see all of them being fun… even the one that was ship to ship if its forged up a bit.

  2. When will there be ranked playlists? I’m not trying to show my value through playing this game all day… as much as I’d like to. Thats seems to be what you have to do to “level up.” Another ranking system is so necessary as there are plenty of people that are real solid that don’t play much and just as many General+'s that totally suck. Also, I pray Anniversary Classic will be treated with as much consideration as playlists with jetpacks, camo, sprinting, invincible ground punching… whatever. Those are so limited to me at least.

And hopefully 343 isn’t shy on making games with no radar as I also think those games are infinitely more fun and remind me more of my Halo: CE days. This would probably also require no time limit to keep people from camping and waiting out the remainder of a game with the lead, but I don’t see an issue with that.

anyone have any answers. I read somewhere where 343 claimed “this is only the beginning for this game.” Anyone got any insider intel?

you do know that CEA dosent have its own Multiplayer right?
it uses Reach’s servers
343 though that with CEA’s release, it would draw too many players Off of reach, so they merged CEA with reaches multiplayer

343 thought that with Hemorrhage already there, it would be a waste of time making blood gulch AGAIN!

I’m aware it uses Reach. Does Reach have a playlist called Anniversary Classic? If not, that’s what I’d like somewhere. And aside from BG, has anyone heard even a general comment by 343 with regards to updates. I know its really early but maybe they’ve said something that I;m not willing to pump around the internet looking for

in response to “we don’t want to switch disks”: don’t buy CEA for your friends then, buy reach; you’ll have to buy the map pack for $15, however, but then you’ll have access to all of reach and all of CEA’s multiplayer from one disc, the reach one.
