I currently own the Reach console. This is my 3rd console (own elite and COD console, older one, not slim version, wanted a quieter console, I despise COD with EVERY once of my being).
Was going to do the Halo 4 console. But what stopped me dead was the copy of Halo 4 is just a regular copy. Wow! I plan on preordering the limited one closer to release day. Plus being this close to end of 360 life cycle its hard to put down that much for a new console (with standard copy of Halo 4) and then, more money for a second copy of Halo 4 being the limited edition.
Yes, I know, there will be some random dude on here saying “omg! u r so stoopid. u just trade in the console copy of Halo, u dumb moron”. Yes, you are correct Future Fanboy. But the trade in will give me like $5 on a brand new unopened copy, a bad investment. Future Fanboy again: “well just take ur console copy to Walmart and return as unopened, why u so dum”. Once again, Future Fanboy, nice thought but the SKU will be different for Halo 4 copy, so can’t do that either.
Wish 343 would “sell” a limited edition DLC pack for the $ difference to those who buy the Halo 4 console. That would deff have me buying the console.
Also wish 343 would release a few more pics of the Halo 4 console. Right now the current pics has the console look an inflattering cartoonish style. Maybe the real deal, hands on, looks much better.
Just spare your money for the next gen version of the xbox, if you’re going to get one.
Cuz it’s coming out in 2 or 3 years I think.
I would personally get the console myself but it’s your choice personally, and dont save your money for the new xbox console, nothing so far has been seen or heard of about it, so why bother saving for it, if it is rumor city.
Most likely will get a Xbox 720 unless Microsoft releases an epic fail of a console next time around.
I just want the limited edition of Halo 4 and the console as well. Right now that is not happening. Saddnes me big time.
Of course there is the old saying "Wish in one hand and . . . . "
Not going to say the rest. But everyone should know it, though.
Actually, the trade in value of the game will either be $30 or $25.
I’m a GameStop employee, and that is the starting trade value Day 1 for all high-end titles.
As for your system, you will get $50 for the original console (not including HDD) or $70 for the Reach console.
Or, you can just sell them separately. Find a buddy who’s only getting the standard edition and tell him you’ll give him yours for $50. He saves money, and you get $50 off your console price. You can also sell off one of the 2 exclusive controllers for $50.
You can also sell your Reach console online. Heck, if it’s in great condition, I’ll give ya $140 for it (double what GameStop will give you).
I’m just getting the Halo 5 Nextbox.

Understand what you are saying. But I really have no desire to jump thru hoops to get what I want when they can just release a DLC pack for those who bought the console. Between work, college, and gaming, my time is limited. Not want to waste it jumping thru hoops.
The Reach console is mint. Opened, then set next to TV since that day. Never even used the Reach controllers it came with. Heck I even have the box it came in. lol
Tempting to sell, but for just $140 I can’t do it.

Yea. No doubt that will happen. I’m predicting like 2015 there abouts.
