My understanding is that BTB, fiesta, etc. are mix of players. In slayer type playlist, if you aren’t getting 20-30 kills on PC vs console players - you’re doing something wrong. Opponent skill might be different between accounts, but in the social playlist it should be an even mix. If not, then my understanding of the social playlist mechanics is incorrect.
Weapon mechanics will remain the same and I will debate anyone that there is a huge difference between console and PC with PC having an advantage.
I’m just thinking out loud here, but maybe they switched the aiming up because they wanted everyone on a “blank slate.” You know how they changed Player Collision and Outlines among several other random things. Maybe these random changes that appear irrelevant were brought about to make the new players feel like they have more of a chance. All this randomized, inconsistent behavior in Halo Infinite has to be designed this way for some reason… I think maybe all of this inconsistent, randomness is to keep the skill gap refreshed, that way a veteran player or a newbie can get caught off balance. I don’t know though, I’m just trying to make sense of this crap.
My job right is trying to make sure they get the message that aiming is very bad in Infinite.
I could send them an email but the way they set their CS up is weird af. They’ll mark your complaints as resolved if you don’t respond for a set amount of time.
That will be a tough job, but I’m glad someone is willing to do it! With any hope, 343 will start listening to the proper feedback instead of nit picking which feedback they like or don’t like.
And the automated response systems that A LOT of companies use nowadays really suck lol There is clearly a disconnect between the developers and their consumers on that level and that just doesn’t inspire much trust or respect in your fans when you treat your (potential) customers like that. But hey, what can we do now? I guess we could go to Twitter, but I think it’s pathetic that people have to go to a social media website to get the attention of someone important in the company… isn’t that the entire point of the feedback/submit tickets systems? lol
This would be true, if the guy hadn’t stated he used a controller and a dud account. Therefore he has reset his skill level and is doing well Vs the bad job the algorithm does in a lower qty of matches played.
Plus…the skill ceiling for keyboard and mouse is highe and the baseline is lower. More buttons = harder to get used to. Better potential movement aiming etc = better skill potential.
There is of course an aim assist debate but I’ll ignore this because there will be many arguments for and against therefore making this convoluted and long winded. I’ll just drop a comment here accepting that I don’t know enough about it specifically to comment further than this on sim assost specifically
This game does have alot of untapped potential for the gamers, but at the moment, we are all just trying to make sure that the bigger bugs and problems get ironed out as they put in the missing game modes and features.
Yep!
I have beast rig, 5950x, 3080ti & 32gb ram & nvme drives, was a new build at the time of infinites release built by a professional builder.
I have had zero issues with any other games only infinite.
Can run super high frames but if I do my instances of crashing increases even though my hardware is not being taxed.
Higher frames seem to cause me more desync especially if a team vehicle whiffs past me, will get stuck in stutter step till I die.
Higher frames if I am hijacked will cause me to momentarily teleport sometimes to other side of map then back like wtf? lol
If I run game between 144-165fps & I’m in a scorpion & destroy any vehicles if I’m near them when they explode I have a very high chance of crashing.
None of above hardly happens if I lock fps @120
Game was clearly optimised for series X @120fps, running frames higher breaks the game engines physics, its like how playing certain Bethesda games on higher than intended fps breaks the game, though in their defence they are 8-10yr old games & not a modern AAA 2021 with a 500 million dev bill lol.
Thats probably true because Halo Infinite was built for the ADM platform to better suit Series S/X.
So the game was most likely developed under AMD on PC also with similar specs to Xbox S/X…
The biggest fail was to make the game work for the older Xbox One, it should have been a pure next gen title and for PC.
I also think that MS would have sold more Xboxes if they made it next gen only.
I have friend who played it on the old One with 30 fps, that sucked and he was almost always the one with the fewest kills in the party.
He was also the one with most desync and stutter issues.
PC will forever dominate consoles, call me a purist. No console will ever have the same power as the motherboard that designed its beating silicon heart. Every PC game has better control configuration, better bug fixes and 1000% more long term content.
The issue with Infinite, is they optimized it for their target audience first. They wanted it to be cleanly an Xbox game, with a PC version. The thing that caused the most harm was forcing it to work on the Xbox one hardware. It’s been holding everything back
I play on pc with controller input.
I have no issues with the games performance at all.
I think it looks great n runs very smoothly.
The issue to me is the gameplay just feels terrible.
I feel for your friend : ( I started playing Infinite on the Xbox one and only recently bought my series S because the game is nigh unplayable on the Xbox one. My accuracy and overall performance has dramatically shifted since I started playing on a next gen console.
