ALLOW PEOPLE TO JOIN IN PROGRESS!!!!!!

I’m absolutely sick and tired of all the games that end up 4v2 because 2 people decide to leave at the start of the match.
When the 4 have all the power weapons and you start with an Assault Rifle and Pistol, it’s a lost cause.

Allow players to join into a game in progress and this will all be fixed.

I support this and always will. Team members quitting? No problem, reinforcements inbound.

No. Nothing was worse in Halo 4 than joining a game that was 43-14 and you’re losing, because nobody quits winning games. Just make heavy quitting penalties.

Agreed.

If there is Join i progress then there can be no ranks. Halo needs ranks. All they have to do is bring back quit ban.

>>No<<

Joining in progress is bad. I mean if its a close game and its not just about over, its fine, but usually, people don’t quit if its close or the game just started.

Yes and No

Put Join session in progress for Big Team Battles ONLY, seriously I had a blast on halo 4’s BTB mostly because the game was always packed with people most of the time. The last thing I want to see is people quitting all the time like a lot of the time in Halo Reach BTB and Invasion

As for normal 4v4 it doesn’t really need an join session in progress

No make the matchmaking system better so people that want to win get matched alike…its just bad to see an Iron, Onyx, Gold, Semi Pro in one game. WE NEED NUMBER RANK!

i would only allow jip IF when you got into a in proggress game and you are on the losing team you dont get a loss or k/d on your record. cause in halo 4 if i got into a in prog game and i was on the losing team i just quit out and fished for a fresh game. i see no reason to stay in a game that im 99% going to lose and not even worth a try to fight back when you are losing by so much

For starters I could count on one hand the amount of games in halo 5 that it ended up 4v2. That6’s how little it happened. So if it barely happened to me I know it didn’t happen to you that much

Secondly, JIP is flawed. When people quit 99% of the time it is because they are on a losing team getting whooped. Therefore 99% of the openings are on losing teams so nearly every time you Join in progress you will just joni on a losing team which is no fun.

Only extreme casuals think JIP is good because they don’t really care about winning like most of us or they don’t understand why it is flawed

Just give us the option to choose whether we join in progress or not, that’s all we need.

Or… just make it to where there is some 1-2 minute window at the start of a match to join if players drop. After that window is gone, then the game just proceeds with the existing players.

If my team beats the other team so bad some of them quit then the other team shouldn’t just be able to replenish its players.

JIP is the worst thing ever!!! This being said if 343I is smart and have social and ranked playlists, I hope it’s just in social.

This.

JIP was a horrible, horrible idea in H4 and I’m very happy it’s gone.

I agree completely.

I’m sorry but this is bad idea, it is incredibly frustrating when you want to play a game from the start, but instead you join a game where your team is 40 kills behind and the game ends as soon as you join, leading you a loss, and a possible de-rank. This only worked in halo 4 because there was no punishment for losing

NO for competitive and ranked matches.

YES for social slayer, BTB, etc. Even teammate replacement would be good. Or maybe you could spectate until the match is done and play in the next round.

We have no reason to believe there even is a separate ranked/social. I’d actually say it’s very unlikely.
