During the first week of the Tenrai event in December, I saw there were two additional weeks when the event was going to be held; another in January and the final one in February. Myself and my friends assumed this meant that you had three separate opportunities to unlock the 30 rewards.
What we did NOT assume (as it was not mentioned), was that during every week of the event you would only have TEN unlockable challenges for that week. Meaning that if, during the first week, you only unlocked SEVEN challenges (as I did), then you would be forever unable to unlock all 30 rewards. I just completed the ten challenges of Week 2 which brought me to level 17.
Which means that during the third week of the event I will only be able to progress to level 27 and those final three rewards will be forever taunting me. There was no mention of having to complete 10 challenges per week so I would like to see them populate as many required challenges as NEEDED during the final week.
Nobody should have to be limited in the rewards they can earn simply because the game stops giving them challenges. Halo Infinite was brand new at the time and we shouldn’t be penalized for not realizing how the events worked.
During the first week you could only get to rank 7, not 10.
With that planned we would’ve gotten to max Rank 21 out of 30, even a fourth week would’ve only gotten us to Rank 28.
With that in mind, and some careful optimism, as well as some hearsay I’ve read:
I’m sure i343 planned atleast 5 weeks of this event as that’d have broken the 30 threshold, while allowing for a little catching up if you missed a few.
The move to ten ranks, makes it easier to catch up, while I suspect they’ll keep the potentially planned 5 event weeks.
Also suspect that the event, or the battlepass will return at some point.
Ahh you guys are the best! Thanks so much for the info. Yes it would have helped if they listed ALL of the event dates in-game, not just up to the one in February lol
I didn’t realize that the first week only had 7 challenges; I thought I must have had a bad week and missed some.
