allow the ammo to be gained for all req weapons except energy weapons with % meter. this allows the req weapons to compete with all vehicles because all vehicles have infinite ammo.

What? How would a % meter change anything? The spartan laser currently uses a % meter and regardless of it being a integer or a percentage they both mean the same thing. If a rail gun currently has 5 shots then each shot is 20% of the guns “charge”, but then you wouldn’t be able to pick up ammo for it unless they changed ammo to something like a battery.
Vehicles already are countered by rails, lasers, plasma pistols, camos, and other vehicles anyway.
That has been suggested in the past, but they’re done with those kind of updates.
I always thought you should be able to reload your req weapon (for half it’s original req cost rounded up) as a sort of reward for surviving with it. But as mentioned above there will be no more updates to H5.
They would never do this even if the game were still receiving updates. Allowing REQ weapons to be reloaded would go against the very purpose of the system itself - to be predatory and manipulate players into spending real money.
This would have made the game a lot more fun though, especially Firefight.

Yeah, it’d have been great for Firefight - or at the very least doubling their ammo or something. Most of the Power Weapons are near useless or entirely useless in Firefight even on Heroic, compared to the infinite-ammo vehicles. There’s a few rare cases though; Pool of Radiance surprisingly can actually be relatively useful, and if you get the Hunter Packs that sometimes bring All Vehicle games to a standstill, just get a couple people to pull out a White Scar and aim at their feet / behind them. The explosions shred them and as long as you can avoid getting hit by their One-Shot Cannons you’ll be doing more than the vehicles are.
But for the most part, the majority of the weapons are only really worth using in PvP Warzone. a Beam Rifle Delta has ten shots in it. You’ll need almost half of those shots to kill a non-boss Soldier in Rounds 4 and 5. A High-Five rocket launcher can unload all of its shots into a Round 5 Knight boss and take off maybe 1/8th of its health. You could have just used a Scorpion or Mantis and kill it without the thing ever firing back at you.
There’s just… Almost no reason to use Weapons in Firefight beyond the first few rounds. Almost no reason, but for the most part Vehicles are the One Right Choice. Until the Hunters come along and all the vehicles cram into one spot trying and often failing to get shots in at the Hunters while they crawl into that one room where they’re out of harm’s way.
I understand not being to get ammo back in PvP playlists for balancing, but I never understood them not adding the restock option in Firefight.
I can’t imagine that being a great idea, outside of Firefight at least where weapons are under utilized. People would just call in The Answer and hover over the REQ stations in standard Warzone. Vehicles already play like massive paperweights as it is, so I’m not sure what those weapons would really compete with.

literally what i was gonna say…capping bases becomes impossible because there will be an answer and spnker and everything else that blows -Yoink- up, and you wouldnt have to stop spamming. though i would be ok if the power weapons would come with larger mags if you have the ammo case armor mod on

Would honestly be amazing. WZFF is difficult and Legendary/Mythic especially the REQ weapons are practically useless.
