ALL WEAPONS AND VEHICLES ADDED PLEASE

Give us Loadouts for Campaign, Let us customize not only HOW we approach objectives, but with WHAT gear.
Give us ALL the weapons and vehicles from the halo’s of Old, into one… SWEET… PACKAGE.
Let us theme loadouts like the AR and Mag from CE, a classic set up
or the Mag and BR from H2, another classic
or the Automag and SSMG from ODST.

ALSO bring back the old shotgun, dont replace it.
Bring the SMG, Carbine, needle rifle, -Yoink!- launcher… I MEAN BRUTE SHOT…
the Spiker, all forms of Plasma Rifle, mauler… ETC into one package
AND NOT JUST IN PvP/FORGE.
Let us play freely with them in the Campaign! with friends.
let us be Tactical Spartans, take roles, (EX: marksman, Sniper, Assaulter, grenader, breacher, etc) to complete missions

And aside from All weapons, bring back ALL the classic modes
not just PvP Focused stuff.
bring us a New Spartan Ops, Classic Firefight, Warzone Firefight, a NEW Firefight
FLOOD Spartan Ops, FLOOD Firefight, bring us SO MUCH GAME that there is no reason to play anything else.

I like the idea about choosing a role like marksman, sniper, etc. Could be cool for taking different approaches in gameplay, and you could coordinate with your team as well. They will definitely have some of these at launch, although some of the new ideas mentioned here will probably be added later.

The difficult part would be designing the levels so that they play well over such a large array of starting weapons… especially if you have more than one player.

And lots of levels are built around controlling weapons and ammo… hard to create that tension if you don’t have control of what the player starts with.

Yes.

The best part of Halo’s campaign is the level design. Encounters based around specific elements of the sandbox. If people want to mess around with the sandbox in whatever desired way… theres firefight. If you just allow people to do whatever approach for whatever mission you end up with levels similar to Destiny. Go here, interact with a terminal, now go here, and open this door. Good job chief you saved the day.

Like cmon, truth and reconciliation is remembered for the sniper and the nighttime ambush of the covenant. Maybe in infinite you have to wait for nightfall before attacking an objective, maybe 343 does something really creative and cool with this open world concept, but it really feels like its going to be like Far Cry.

I’m not dogging on Far Cry here, but if I wanna play Far Cry, ill go play it. If I wanna play Halo, a handcrafted linear scifi action romp is what I expect. Maybe the levels are expansive and open and allow for some exploration and secret hunting, but the levels are still linear.

Tbh 343 hasn’t really made a good Halo campaign yet(level design, story is irrelevant here), so why should I expect them to fundamentally change the way the campaign is structured and have it turn out well? I’m holding judgment until we really see the game, but im not exactly hopeful

I think loadouts should be tied to other modes, not campaign. The comment above me highlights that well. But I do think adding all the weapons from old would be a perfect plan. I know weapons have their roles in the game and a bigger quantity would feel less quality, but I counter that in believing options should be unlimited especially for multiplayer, now competitive wouldn’t suffer because whatever is put into the game doesn’t have to be on said map. This would be perfect for those recreating classic maps or game types. Now loadouts could work for a story driven cooperative mode, and could as easily be taken away if the characters involved in said mode were to be setup into a mission where they are captured or trapped. This would then also help make players feel like their shots count, and to be more conservative. A loadout kit would make sense if the player was able to return to a secure area controlled by their faction. Chief on the other hand doesn’t look like he gets that chance this time around. (Edit: Loadouts would also be cool for certain custom games where roles are important)

We do need some new Banished variants of vehicles. I for example want to see the Banished variants of the Revenant and Seraph.

I don’t even know where to start this is one of the worst! Ideas I have ever heard. 1st having loadouts goes completely against classic halo’s formula/level design and would add nothing of value it would just let you start with whatever you want and ignore the rest of the sandbox when halo is about USING the sandbox to your advantage and would make level design way more difficult as the player would have any weapon or the wrong weapon think of if on the old halo sniper levels you didn’t have a sniper as intended. also why in the world would you want spartan ops back it was a dumpster fire of repetitive gameplay and a poor story probably one of the worst parts of H4 and that’s saying a lot.
