The shotgun design is okay, I don’t really care that it doesn’t look like the classic shotgun.
Would I love to have some of the old weapon designs back? Sure, but shotgun is not one of them, neither was the H2 beam rifle.
The classic H3 look or even the Reach shotgun look would be great to bring back, they actually looked like a menacing futuristic shotgun, to this day I still want a shotgun that looks and functions like the one in game, just not in 8 gauge, I like my shoulder where it is right now.

Indeed. I’d prefer the H2A version, since it had the upgraded graphics and whatnot, but if they were to remake the Halo 3 one, I’d have no complaints. And yeah, owning one would be cool… But you’d have no arms or shoulders after firing it.

I like the old shotgun too and reach’s shotgun also the reimagination shotgun is kind of bleh.

yeah I dug the old shotty, it’d cool to see a CE shotty introduced but I’m really hoping for a pro pipe or the all but confirmed reach plasma launcher
