So, I’ve seen so many different sets of armor, emblems, paintjobs, etc. that are exclusive to this or that, and I was wondering, how exclusive are they actually?
Will exclusive mean they are available some people at launch, whereas others have to unlock them? Or does it mean that they must be bought as DLC later? Or, god forbid, does it mean that they are just off limits to the rest of us? I certainly think that is unlikely, as 343 won’t want to waste time making all these beautiful armor sets that will be used on just a small portion of the Halo 4 community. I expect they will become available at some point, once the exclusives have done their job in making people pre-order and buy limited editions and H4 consoles and all that.

Gears 3 did that. But they edited them. The COG characters wore blue tinted cloths versus their original design. And the locust had a red tint.

So true. You don’t know how many ppl got upset when they released the Beta Cole for sale for GoW3. Just using that as an example so…
I hope they add skins in with DLC. BTW I really want that Fotus, zomg that thing looks so beast. But on another note can you imagine all the screenshots people will be creating >.> I’m looking at you pervy sage.
Everything can be bought. Look on ebay or anywhere on the internet. Sure it may be pricey but you can buy anything in this world with enough money. I don’t think 343i should release ANY of the pre-order/LE/H4 console content. That stuff should stay exclusive, IMO, as bragging rights to the person who could get them. But knowing that businesses love money, I could definitely see them coming out later as DLC. How much money did GoW3 make from those weapon skins, I know they got money from me b.c. they were sweeeeet! 343i is foolish if they don’t release weapon skins/armor/armor skins later for money.

Salt in the wounds… I’m still hurting a bit from recon being given to everyone. I might just do something crazy with an xbox and a window if they try that -Yoink- again.
I just hate how first to play online you have to pay a subscription fee, then $60 for a game, then you have to pay even more for armor that should have already been on the damn disk to begin with. If I want the FOTUS armor I have to buy another Xbox?! Really?! Brilliant strategy, make a 60 dollar game like, 400 dollars. Ugh.

I agree with the sentiment that there is no point in calling them “exclusive” if they aren’t going to be exclusive. I swear if they start selling Limited Edition stuff at a later date on the marketplace I will be pissed.
