All the Halo Infinite issues I had with the flight

This is just a general overview on all of the issues I had with Infinite. This doesn’t mean I hate it, but I hope that 343 listens and fix these issues.

Weapon Functionality
The needler takes way too many needles for a super combine

The pulse carbine is not a great weapon. It’s too overpowered. Shots do too much damage and the projectiles are fast firing and home in on targets.

The bulldog is really a poor man’s classic shotgun. It reloads like any other weapon, takes 2 shots to kill someone instead of one, and it doesn’t look as good as the classic shotgun

The gravity hammer no longer has any effect to the physics, like objects or players don’t get pushed. The animation is a bit too long. It’s just long enough to hamper its functionality

Weapons Aethetics
Though the AR looks better than it did, I never liked the Reach modular look. I do prefer how halo 4’s AR looked. Also the sound. It’s punchy, but I do prefer either CE’S or 4’s sound

The needler’s sound effects are off to me. Doesn’t sound right to me. That and the reload animation. I do prefer the flick from previous halos.

Aiming down sights Aiming down sights is not a great thing. Weapons that have a more traditional zoom blend the weapons together. Like there are 2 weapons that are automatic firing and can zoom in. If the AR took out its smart zoom, then more weapons would feel more unique. Among removing the smart zoom in some other weapons

Sprint to shoot
There’s also of the issue of descoping. I like descoping, but any weapons with the more traditional zoom doesn’t descope. But weapons with the classic halo zoom like the BR descopes. I would prefer if all of the weapons decope if you zoom in
Sprint to shoot This is the best implementation of sprint for halo. It’s only a little slower than moving normally. And from footage, it looks like shooting from a sprint is instant. But it’s not. There is a bit of a delay. It would be better if it was instant

Grenades So it looks like grenades or different in multiplayer and singleplayer. Judging from the rebind customisation, you can hold every type of grenade at once in singleplayer, but only 2 types in multiplayer. But no matter what, you can only hold 2 grenades of the same time. I personally don’t like that. I do prefer if you can hold every type of grenade. Or at least, let us hold 4 grenades of the same type in multiple, but 2 in singleplayer.

Menu
The menu needs a lot of work. Navigating with a keyboard and mouse is fine. But with a controller, it’s confusing. Pressing different buttons to access certain menus is confusing for newcomers. They would have to look down their controller just to navigate. Honestly, MCC is a lot easier to navigate. Though that’s not perfect.

Custom button customisation Though the feature is great, it needs some work. The way it is now, it’s iffy. Customising it from one of the presets, you see that left stick click is are both sprint and change zoom level. But change one of them and you can’t bind the same button to two different functions. Also, you have to go to the bottom of the menu to rebind. Which is a little tedious

Settings don’t save Turning the game off and on, any change you make in the settings don’t save at all
No Steam Input API support. This’ll take a long time to explain. So here’s a link to a video showing a game that has native Steam Input API support Steam Input API Review: Darksiders Warmastered Edition - YouTube
But if they support it, they can show Nintendo or Playstation buttons and have gyro aiming without the game changing between keyboard and controller buttons.
Or if they don’t support it, at least have the option to show playstation or Nintendo buttons. It would make menu navigation easier and some tutorials easier to follow

I would like an option to turn off aim assit when using a controller

I would like an option to use a lowered crosshair

Would like a real time image to see how the game would look if you change them in the options menu. Like in the newer Resident Evil games

You can change the view model of your weapon, but you can’t see it in real time. You can only see the results when you are in the game. Which is obviously not ideal.

The game crashes when you press the button to set back to default in the settings menu

Getting into a game can constantly go back to the menu. And getting into a game takes way too long

Again, I like what I played. But I do hope the issues I had are fixed. If you have any other problems, comment them. Would live to see what other problems you have.
