When launching Halo 5, my Level appears to be 1 again, and all of my stats when going into service record for online are completely reset. Along with this, any arena game mode that I was ranked in is reset, and to top it all off, I can’t play any multiplayer at all, solo or with friends. When attempting to play online alone it either starts the matchmaking process and fails, or doesn’t start at all, and when trying to play with friends, on their screen I am endlessly attempting to connect, and on mine I am unable to connect and get booted back to the main menu.

Thank you for your reports. Have you tried to perform a console hard reset (turn off console, unplug, restart)? This should resolve this issue. Additionally, you should be able to confirm that all of your stats and data is still correct on your HaloWaypoint.com Service Record.

After performing a hard reset I was able to connect to multiplayer long enough for a single game. When the game was done, I was still level one with no stats and I didn’t earn any REQ points, with my current req points at 0. On top of that immediately after the game was over I couldn’t look at the stats for the match, instead it endlessly said retrieving data on the screen until I lost connection and was returned to the title screen. The problem with viewing stats is not simply that I cannot see them but that I appear unranked in all arena modes and also that I can no longer earn REQ points making me unable to buy new REQ packs. As a side note, I can’t even view my service records online I’m sent to a page that says “Problem Detected Well, this is embarrassing. Looks like we have some problems on our end.”

Again, the exact same thing is happening with me. Even with trying to view my stats on halowaypoint. Same error page.
But the problem is only with Halo 5. All my other service records for the other halo games are available and come right up.
Same problem essentially, tried hard resetting, first thing I did, no luck. Still showing Level 1. Please 343!!!

Also tried hard resetting my xbox but it did not work. It’s been like this for 2 days now.

However I can still play multiplayer, but then after every match I achieve nothing and I get no REQ points.
C’mon 343 this is clearly happening a lot, and not a word for over 10 hours…
Still doesn’t work. I’d love to be able to play this game to its full extent.

Has anybody had a message pop up that says “unauthorized halo user”? My cousin gets it ever time he tries to access any online features, multiplayer doesn’t work whatsoever for him, all he can play is the campaign. I’ve asked about this all over the forums, get absolutely no response from anyone, not even 343i when my cousin has quite clearly just wasted his money on a game that doesn’t work, and I’m wasting my time trying to fix it for him!
I expected there to be bugs in the beginning of the launch but I didn’t expect it to be this bad. I just want to be able to play again. Fix this soon 343
After a game of arena (in which no stats were saved or shown afterwards) I get the message “we encountered a problem and couldn’t retrieve your session data at this time” instead of the post-game stats page.
343 can you just fix it already it’s been 3 days now I’ve wasted my money on this game
