I have been away from the game for quite some time now but I was just wondering if 343 ever gave a reason they took away the Slayer Pro playlist? Can anyone enlighten me?
Also is anyone else a bit peeved that they are adding ARs to the Slayer Pro variant in Infinity Slayer?
They removed it because they were going to improve it and from there the game got Team Throwdown.
Thanks for the quick answer. I can never understand why in ever iteration of Halo Bungie/343 can never just give the players a Slayer Pro playlist. I was elated when I started playing Halo 4 and found an all Slayer Pro list and then they took it away and replaced it with a list that forces me to play objective games that I don’t like.
Oh well maybe Halo 5 will have a Slayer Pro playlist.
Slayer Pro was also removed because of its low population numbers.

No that was never the reason for it.

Yes it was.
At launch time, when Playlists like Infinity Slayer were in the 10,000 pop area, Slayer Pro, due to its settings at the time, had a Pop in the area of 1,000 or less.
It was removed to be reworked due mostly to the low numbers.
The original Pro had the AR, DMR, and BR. Which is a weird choice.
The Slayer Pro playlist had different settings than the one we currently have for Infinity Slayer. I personally have no problem with the AR. If adding that (and possibly motion tracker down the road) makes Infinity players consider trying Slayer Pro more, then I’m sure happy about it.
I like it and hope it stays somehow close to this form. A serparate playlist is a good comprimise i would agree. It seems to get picked alot so i guess a good part of the community enjoys it.
