All out war multiplayer

They need bigger, more open maps with a bigger variety of structeres, even temporary destroyable ones. I want that BF3 experience with halo, just like wars brought a new take on halo. It is just a break from a similar formula.

Bigger maps, way more structures within the map, an open area or two(don’t want all maps to open because then the game will be a camping sniper fest), and a much larger player count.

20 vs. 20 BTW (Big team war)

I would love to see a big team style game with 3 teams.

> 20 vs. 20 BTW (Big team war)

that would be amazing…

I can see destructible environments in the campaign maybe, but im hoping for a more original Halo style & not saying that if i throw a grenade the wall doesnt break apart, but what im saying is that the buildings or literally structures or buildings should not be destructible. Say i shoot at a tree enough maybe it should break apart & fall over, but not an actual wall or roof. Simply put i throw grenade boom chunk in wall gone stays black broken, but wall never falls apart so bad that i can blow up a roof or the floor so that no 1 can go to higher levels on the map.

I wouldn’t mind, as long as buildings don’t completely fall, I’m fine. If a walk way, wall, small upper level floor or something on a structure here and there fall I’ll be happy with that, in fact I would love that, but everything falling apart and the entire building falls would get kind of dull after once its pretty much a hill of broken walls.

i think battlefield 3 has the best scale of any game to date.

you can have large, open battles in conquest.
large, centralized battles in rush
small, compact battles in team deathmatch.

if halo 4 can scale as successfully as battlefield 3, i will be very pleased.

totally agreed.

Would love a halo battlefield.

Actually wouldn’t mind one where you play as marines…maybe a prequel to everything were the civil war is going or whatever.

Look in theory it sounds great, two of my favorite games, Battlefield and Halo together. But IMO this is how we got the lackluster quality that was Halo 3 and Halo Reach. They tried to take Halo, and turn it into something that it’s not. Halo has always thrived in Arena style maps.

Look at Reach it tried to force Invasion, and although it was kinda cool, that all it was, a side thought, the Invasion Playlist never had a huge population. and it took away from the traditional multiplayer map pool.

And Arena to an extent, Halo 4v4 was always about the team aspect. Win as a team, lose as a team. With the Arena, screw the team, all that matters is that the individual puts up good stats

I could go on with AA, Equipment, Bloom(although I did’nt mind bloom), Lack of a Ranking system, removal of multiple persons watching a film at the same time, but then i’m kind of getting off topic.

But Yes a more concentrated effort to make a Big Team Battle type of play more improved would be interesting, and I would be in favor of it. But not for the sake of mixing BF3 with Halo.

if you want BF3 maps then why dont you go play that stop trying to turn halo into a crappy war game.

For a “Halo Battlefield” to be a reality, they would need to flesh out the weaponry quite a lot, not that they don’t have material to work with.

If such a thing would be true, it’d be nice if they made Elites and Brutes squad leaders and then the rest of the group grunts, jackals or skirmishers. If a squad is doing really well, two could become a pair of Hunters. Squad leaders could have the “Medic” class with a deployable Engineer which heal or a Support class with a Shield Engineer or a recharge generator for battery weapons or an “ammo box” for projectile weaponry such as needlers, nades and so on. The smaller races could have access to whatever classes they use to be. Grunts could have access to “support” with recharge generators and ammo boxes and so on.

Humans would function like in Battlefield 3, with the difference that a Squad doing well could become Spartans at some point, or ODSTs dropping down from the sky.

Then again, it’s a dream.

Halo 4 should feature bigger maps, but only if the player count goes up, i.e Caspian Border isn’t that fun with 24 people. It’s a huuuuge map that’s vehicle oriented, and most of the time you end up running, only to be killed by a sniper by a tree, then rinse and repeat.

So, I’m all for bigger maps if the same intensity can be kept like in current games. Destructable environment? It’s a concept but it’s really not necessary to make the game good.

All I want is regular ranked 4v4s / 3v3s and a 1-50 system and i’m happy.

Halo is a futureristic SCI-FI shooter NOT a modern day shooter like battlefield or modern warefare.

The maps can be big but do we want wasted space?

Think about it. We only use half of boneyard and Spire.

It’s a cool idea, but I can’t help but feel if you want a BF experience you should play battlefield, rather than making Halo like a game that already exists.
