When watching the Halo 4 First look video, I was looking at the two maps they showed, and they looked amazing IMO. Then they said “All of these maps are built from scratch, not recycled” and I have never been so happy to hear that! In Reach I personally didn’t like how all the maps were from the campaign practically. Now all the maps will be thought of from the imagination (The way I like it) and will hopefully return to be as fun and creative as the maps were in Halo 3! I can’t wait till Halo 4!
ya i am excited to see what else they made from scratch i hope there are more forerunner maps i love the forerunner design its really neat

Campaign maps were recycled from multiplayer. The maps were made FIRST with multiplayer in mind, THEN changed into campaign sections. (Whether or not the multiplayer maps were good is an entirely different subject.)

^ This. I think it was kind of a blam move by 343 to turn ignorant people against Bungie and Reach like that. They could have said that there will be more maps with more diversety, but saying that there are no maps taken from campaign is just wrong.
The two multiplayer maps look equally great. However, I am still curious about what Forge in Halo 4 and how you will be able to edit maps.

There is no way the maps in reach were designed for multiplayer before campaign. That’s why they’re all terrible.

This, plus having maps not made in Forge. Asylum would have been so much more aesthetically pleasing if it had shipped as a real map and not a Forge World map.

It’s funny that you complain about this now because all the hate I have ever saw on reach maps were that they were forged maps. not because they were from campaign. I happened to like all the standard reach maps.
