  • scarab to expensive & takes to long to build to be so under powered. ( grizzlys, MACx4, BARRAGE ) - the 1st upgrade for scorpions is the cannister shell - enginers can heal scarabs - the wraity is insanely weak against outher vehicles - a full army of hunters (anti-vehicle unit) are no match for a full army of grizzlys - the odst - 4x mac trumps a scarrab -

I take issue with all of your issues (see below), but most of all, you have this posted on the wrong forum imo as you are speaking of Halo Wars 1 and this is for HW2.

  1. Not too expensive. A fair price for such a powerful unit!

As for the wraiths I hope in halo wars, 2 they function as mortar units like they are supposed to weak health wise but long range shelling capability, as for grizzlys, they beat everything except power turret

What? A full population of Hard Vehicle countering units should beat a full population of Vehicles?

How does that make any sense?

It’s hardly a Hard Counter if that’s the case.

Your right, it dousent make ANY SENSE. but sadly thats how it is. grizzlys can OWN hunters. even with assault beam. ( its obsserd ) being that the grizzly (anti infantry) has canister shell & way more health than the hunters (hunters are infantry) they dont stand a chance. plus the canister shell has a massive blast radious, capable of killing several hunters in meir seconds. hunters dont have any Y ability giveing them a HUGE disatvantige to the grizzly. infact, the covinant dont have ANYTHING that can effectivly counter them. & before you say scarab…HECK NO!!! grizzlys can inialate a scarab in seconds. (may god have mercy on you if they scorpion rush you).

To be honest, hunters would be fine if they would run faster. They can shoot while running. The problem is tanks are fast enough to get out of range, but no too fast to the point their out of line of sight, so when tanks retreat as your chasing them, sometimes your dealing no damage, while they shoot you as they run away. This tactic is known as kiting. A destiny chieftan plus a army of assualt beam always beats an army if you know what your doing, especially if against spartan tanks. Tanks run, chieftan pull and stuns one. One tank down.

Scarabs are meant to be supported though, not as a stand alone frontline unit. Even with 30 engineers, its easy to kill if its by itself. The only thing good about the engineers is that they soak mac blast damage very well. Unless if your scarab is supported, dont build a scarab.

Hunters btw arent the only counter the covenant have. If you have a reliable unsc on your team, consider making sacfricie banshees. What if they make wolverines? Good. Less tanks for your unsc to worry about. Remember the role of the covenant is to assist their unsc.

And always have 2 hunters for every scorpian / grizzly they have. Thats the rule i go by, and it works wonderfully. If you think about it, Hunters only win if their in equal population with tanks.

Just be mindful of players who canister and run. This tactic > hunter. And, be wary of the canister glitch.

Aside from their mobility, Hawks aren’t quite as fearsome as people make them out to be. They are a Tech 4 super unit that are Hard Countered by Wolverines (if they have Hawks, then your Wolverines should have Dual Launcher, which dominates any air units) and if you are Covenant, you have an even better Counter-Air unit in the Vampire with its stasis.

By the time your enemy has Hawks, you should have a high tier counter unit available to you as well. No one just springs Hawks out of nowhere. It’s pretty obvious when someone is going for them.

We need Fleet battles.
