All is lost, have faith in Destiny?

Pun intended. Halo 4 has lost an incredible amount of fans and supporters. On the first week of Halo 4’s release there was a tremendous amount of players, now, the big team playlist has more participants than the infinity slayer playlist. halo 4 has been said to have strayed from it’s roots. and i actually agree with that statement.

sure, some new additions are nice. the rail gun and mantis are nice additions to the game. but the new respawn system and the maps to go with them eliminate map control and the avaliability of power weapons being so free now makes map control even harder.

sure, some flow of the game has been restored. the color set is pure, there is more customization now, people can join in-game, and people are not penalized for quitting as often. along with spartan ops and the whole idea of that rendition.

but halo 4, and halo as a whole, is practically tarnished. sure, there will always be people who say that this is halo, that this is true to it’s roots, and that i am a cry baby no good who should go play CoD and i want a complete reprint of the last game. this is not true. i still enjoy playing halo, but i feel as if this game is not what it is made out to be.

i feel that the mechanics are off, the ranking system is useless, and that all of the maps are poorly planned and cannot be played in a fair and team-based manner.

i enjoyed halo reach but i criticized it too. hell, i loved halo 3 but i had complaints about that game as well. nothing is perfect. no one can make a diamond game. but someone can make somethng sure damn close to it.

i think with the lack of competitiveness, and the more bias to casuals (not against casuals, but there should be equal consideration and recognition among both genres of gamers) have ruined the game of halo. the spawns are off, theatre is ruined, customs are in shambles, and even the lobbies are hard to maneuever around.

what i’m trying to say is, all we have faith in now for halo’s roots to stay true is Bungie’s new game, Destiny. Watch the trailer on Youtube. They even mentioned Halo and it’s old greatness but you can also see the similarities between Halo and Bungie’s new product. It screams “possibility” and “innovation” and is Bungie’s new shot at controlling the game market again.

True Halo was over with when Bungie talked of leaving Halo, which is why Reach was so disappointing. Bungie stated the game was to last five years, and it was planned before creation of the game that it would turn over to 343.

Stay true to Bungie. Stay true to Halo. Have faith in Destiny.

ya

Why not have faith in both companies and buy both games?

I will play both !!!

I don’t really like bungie’s attitude at the moment, I will keep playing Halo.

I will give Destiny a chance.
