This is an idea that I’ve had since before the release of Halo Infinite’s reveal trailer, and I think it’s an idea that we could implement into the game fairly easily, but may lead to a bit of confusion.

What if we took all the weapons from past and modern Halos and put them into one game? I personally think it would be a good way to show that the UNSC is becoming desperate in the fight against Cortana, considering they would be running low on supplies, traitors might steal weapons, ammo, materials from the UNSC as a way to disarm them, resulting in the use of outdated weapons such as the BR-55 or the MA5C, or even some Covenant weapons.

I’d love to see this happen if it’s possible, though I understand hardware limitations exist, and 343 might want to cut down on their game’s space following Halo 5’s little p r o b l e m.

But seriously though do you know how cool it would be to have a Halo Reach SRS99AM with an ODST M7S.
So cool man.
So cool.

It would be cool as hell, but would make the weapon sandbox overcrowded and render many weapons obsolete. Thus, there’s no real incentive or reason for every weapon to be included.

It would be good to have a large variety of weapons to choose from, but too much of anything can be a bad thing. Every weapon and vehicle in the sandbox should be unique in some way and have a reason to exist. For instance, what if we had the SMG and the Halo CE Assault Rifle? They’re essentially the same weapon: 60 clip bullet hoses. If they do pretty much the same thing, what’s the point of having both? Infinite should avoid having redundant weapons and vehicles as they just clog the game up.

I understand that while it would make the sandbox a bit…
saturated, it could just be a fun thing to have in custom games, with no connection to the campaign itself.
ima keep it real witchall, I still don’t really expect them to do this but I’d still be incredibly happy if they did, regardless of balancing and sandbox changes.
Really this suggestion was more tuned to the hardcore-casual (casually hardcore?) players that may recognize the different weapons in the series.

Honestly this would be a blast, especially if you can spawn AI in custom games, forge, and/or firefight(if it is like Reach); it would make it even more insane if you could toggle the ability to dual wield weapons, and add old grenades, equipment, armor abilities, and spartan abilities, imagine dual wielding Halo CE magnums or Halo CE Plasma Rifles, you could battle plasma rifles vs plasma repeaters, vs storm rifles, all the types of crazy -Yoink- you could do would be insane, especially if you are a more informed/experienced player, weapons from certain games can be stronger or weaker than an alternate game counterpart, so if you are perceptive than you can hold an advantage over other players. If vehicles also got this sort of “Treatment” we as fans would be having a blast fighting Hornet vs Falcon vs wasp, or battling banshee vs banshee, the possibilities are endless, and if we get to drive/fly vehicles we couldn’t before(Such as the Scarab) I am so hyped, plus in addition to the new weapons and vehicles, AND possibly Halo Wars 1 & 2 weapons and vehicles in the mix we are hype, btw in case you missed it in one of the Scoops on one of the the MCC updates he was trying to port Halo Custom Edition into MCC, and if MCC and Infinite come to PC the modding community is going to go ham.

Due to balancing issues it would sadly be impossible to put them all in multiplayer without some being useless, not fitting with the playstyle or being overpowered.
BUT, in forge, custom games, or fiesta? Let it rip. I want this so badly. They could do the same with vehicles as well maybe, and enemies. Imagine having jackrabbits, blisterbacks, cyclopses and all those vehicles from Halo Wars (2). That, my freind, would be glorious. You’ve had a fantastic idea :slight_smile:

Exactly the type of thing I was going for, I’d especially love to see the assets from the Halo Wars games in my hands

I highly doubt that if this idea were to come to fruition that it would be completely balanced. If they were to implement it somehow it would probably only be in social gamemodes, with one variant of the weapon taking on the role as the most competitive.
Custom games with this would be amazing to have, the classic DayZ mode comes to mind for me.

Well with Halo wars I felt the they made some vehicles just because the Halo arsenal at the time was not a fit for a command & conquer style game. With the FPS there would have been more infantry and vehicles act more as the late tier units much like CoH/DoW 2. There are some units that could work and some that could be replaced. I think the rocket hog could replace the Wolverine as UNSC AA platform and the Vampire could act as a single vehicle transport. As for the Vulture well it would be more like a super vehicle like the Scarab but I could see it function very much the same way as Halo 3 scarab only instead of legs they have hover engines (thing is the scarab could not work as a piloted vehicle and had to be scripted in its movement).

I would be so for this, particularly in PvE activities for MP and of course things like Warzone and Fiesta.

It could def work in campaign. Not every single gun would have to be present all the time. I hope Halo Infinite offers some kind load out option system before mission in Campaign (narrative depending) that could give you options of maybe a different model of a BR or Assault rifle or what not. Would add a nice variety.

By the look of the Reach Varient of the AR seen in the trailer I’m guessing that is a Clue that all weapons varients from all previous games and Unseen ones to be in it. UNSC, Covenant, Forerunner.

The ability to choose a loadout for a mission would be pretty cool, there is actually that system in SPV3

I see no way that this’ll actually go through but it’d be cool to see for sure.
