All I want is a good campaign

The progression doesn’t bother me, I can survive with no co-op and forge, and I was never into the multiplayer part of Halo.

But if this campaign ends up being as disappointing or worse then Halo 5, then I will be mad.

I do to want another Halo 5, where it gets good, only for it to end and leaving me very confused and puzzled about what is going on. All I want is a good campaign, if they can do that, then I will be happy.

Sounds more like you want to provoke with your post.

Okay, it’s fine when you are okay with that - and I know that what every argument I will state why progression, forge, co-op is important, you will not care - but Halo Infinite should release with more than just a good campaign.

Same mostly.
I’m buying the game day 1 and wasting copious amounts of time playing it.

I’m the opposite. I’ll only play through the campaign once for most games. A few of my favourites I have beaten a bunch of times, but years apart.

Multiplayer I can put in hundreds of hours over the course of a year or two, so I would love to have a game that is fun to play consistently.

I hope both are great so we can always enjoy any way we play. I didn’t enjoy Halo 5 because of the mission length, layout and general team aspect. I like how usually it is Master Chief alone with his back to the wall. Story I barely followed, I actually can barely recall what happened except for a handful of key points and the boss fights were not enjoyable for me. So yeah I like how it will be more open world as this suits me more and hopefully I can pick it up and put it down much easier instead of having to commit to a 1+ hour mission.

This. I’ve already preordered it, despite having game pass. It’s the campaign for me. The fact that it’s not so much no-linear means A LOT time wasting running around and trying to find stuff.

Expect it will be good, if you kinda treat it like a typical linear Halo campaign and don’t stray from the essential path too much.
But if you go off and do tons of exploring and try to “100%” the game or whatever, there could be a lot of repetitive filler content, like in an open-world Ubisoft game

Yeah I’m feeling the same thing I expect the Halo campaign to be a mix of a far cry campaign or in a way of speaking a lite version of one probably best expectation I’ve got for it at the moment until we get more details.

Yep. They haven’t explained what makes Halo Infinite more/greater/its own new thing vs Far Cry, they’ve only explained what parts are missing from the Far Cry formula
