All hail the god Hunter Captain!

So I was playing a 2v2 with my friend last night.
I was Colony, he was Isabel. They were Colony and Anders.

We wwre playing on vault and I got stuck on the same side of the map as the other Colony. We were back and forhing for the first 10 minutes. Then I decided to put a Hunter Captain with two skitters in the Garrison overlooking his second base.

Here is what I could recall of the damage he done:

Two power extracors gone from enemy base+ turrets.

Two and half enemy colony armies gone with anders support. This includes:

x12 Melted marines
x10+ Hunter pairs microwaved
x2 Hunter Captains who were capped
x4-5ish Marauders
x? Snipers bagged
A ton of grunt squads completely smoked
x3-4 Locusts
About half a dozen Elite Rangers went on the great Journey
x6+ Wolverines who finally died
x2 Reavers dead as hell
x1 Cyclops who thought he was a brave lad
x6-8 Goliaths
And many, many more units…

My Hunter Captain survived to the end of the game with a Veterancy of 3. Dearblord he is a strong hero…

How much of an impact does veterancy have on units?

He is the first hero unit that can legitimately be used to rush early game. Flamers and suicide grunts eat him alive though. But if you can get him to his upgraded beam and siphon… He is a monster of self sustainment. The levels of siphon on him are very large improvements for each one not to mention getting the permanent heal to all units.

Fairly much.
This is what a guide said a few weeks back (might be slightly different now after the update though, but still):

*"Having increased veterancy allows your units to inflict increased amount of damage and have increased damage resistance. Here’s a brief summary of Veterancy Levels:*Key: Veterancy Level – Damage Infliction Acquired – Damage Resistance Acquired - Veterancy Level 1 – 15% – 13% - Veterancy Level 2 – 25% – 20% - Veterancy Level 3 – 35% – 26%"
