All for Humanity or Alien unification

I feel like this type of question will be important in Halo 5. I dislike how the Halo series has mostly been focused on Humanity winning. I would like to see The Chief unite all kinds of species to fight whatever we need to fight in Halo 5, but the question is, let’s say the decision is in your hands. Would you stick with humanity only, or are you going to unify the galaxy, and explain why.

The Halo series has heavily been hinting, especially with recent tertiary media and what we’ve seen of the Arbiter’s return to Halo 5, that it’s leaning towards unification. (obviously not black-and-white, but that appears to be the direction the game will head in).

The Arbiter trusts the chief, and it appears as though Chief rescued Arby from an assassination attempt at the hands of ONI…

could be that John is on a renegade mission to unite the species of the galaxy against the imminent forerunner threat (Didact).

Yes, I know it reeks of Mass Effect, but that’s what games do nowadays…

Flood likes to unify the species too ya know

Interesting question… All for the galaxy!

… Through “misery and suffering,” as the Primordial/Gravemind put itself. Chief will most likely want to unite all species so that they can cooperate and survive by destroying a greater evil, such as the Ur-Didact or Flood. And I think he’ll do that without turning everybody into space zombies or robots.

That’s a creepy but valid point lol.

OT: How else will Starfleet get formed? Unification of the galaxy!

All we need to do is add Vulcans into the Halo universe…

Humanity only, purely for the aspect it creates a sense of moral gray area, as well as keeps 343 from ever making it so that we end up facing a jumble of enemies that don’t work well together chemistry wise… It would seem out of place to be facing Jackals with magnums, marines with carbines and elites using rocket launchers… I say keep them separate, but don’t discriminate, so allow for the game to see the most expansion.

Haha the ultimate unification.

I can see this playing out like this. How long it lasts after that before everyone starts infighting again, we shall see.

All for Humanity is simply impractical. Just look at what happened when the Forerunners tried to put a All for Forerunners policy in effect, they weakened the galaxy and made it especially easy for the Flood to consume it. Now look at humanity trying, and failing, to really control one species, the Sangheili. You think humanity can hold down the whole galaxy by themselves? Humans have to make friends eventually.
