I have owned all the map packs since day one and I have never been able to play on them. 343 needs to add a game type that requires players to own all the map packs.
I was playing heavies, and get perdition in the voting options. I vote for it, like I always do for DLC
Everyone votes Ragnarok. The problem I face is usually the people have the DLC, else it wouldn’t show up, but everyone votes for the standard maps. Dedicated servers come too late for me.

Its been explained in numerous other threads that this can’t be done as the map packs are designed for different size teams (Crimson/Castle for 6v6 to 8v8 and Majestic/Bullseye for 4v4).

5vs5 or even 4vs4 on 8vs8 maps wouldn’t be a real problem.
Squad DLC was 5vs5 remember?

It all depends on the people playing, if everyone has all the dlc then most likely one of those maps is bound to show up. You also have to realize that it depends on the popularity of the playlist, when the population is too low then they remove that playlist with something else.
Enough with the dumb obsession with playlist size. If there are enough players to support a DLC playlist, which there are, then there should be one.

Except it always becomes one of the least populated playlists which results in long search times, laggy games and unbalanced matches.

Still rather have a laggy DLC playlist than no DLC playlist at all.

A laggy playlist shouldn’t be acceptable at all. You should be creating playlists that a lot of people want to play, not a vocal minority on the forums
Yeah it is definetly better to spend 10 bucks for nothing just nothing than for the actual stuff you paid for. this is unacceptable!

The way they are treating people who have paid for the DLC should be unacceptable.

No, Squad DLC was 6v6, which made it the minimum size teams the maps were designed for. Read here for confirmation.

I agree to an extent, the way they are handing DLC playlists is absolutely fine. Every single time one is added, it becomes one of the most least populated in no time.
They should have had a DLC search option from launch (alongside other search options which were removed for Halo 4) but that was never the case.
> I have owned all the map packs since day one and I have never been able to play on them. 343 needs to add a game type that requires players to own all the map packs.
That’s just a flat out lie. There were DLC playlists day one of each map pack release so if you have “never been able to play on them” then that’s your fault.
The population is in the toilet and only a fraction of said toilet population has the map packs. They aren’t going to add a playlist that has 100 or less people in it to the pool of other playlists with 100 or less people in them.
The only way to fix it is too add a DLC filter you can turn on with a nifty little message that pops up saying doing this will increase match times but that isn’t going to happen in Halo 4. Halo 4 is done. Hope they add it in Halo 5 or whatever game we get this year.
I hope they put the DLC search option in the next game, then you would be able to play the maps and there wouldn’t be a separate DLC playlist for every map size.
This is what Halo 4 needs, not a DLC playlist that dies after three days. Imo.
