all confirmed things in January update

can we just list all confirmed things in January update please, i don’t know anything about it

i honestly dont know either, be nice to know though

nothing has been confirmed.

That’s why this game is failing. Lack of Communication.

Very misleading title. By the way, nothing has been confirmed.

> That’s why this game is failing. Lack of Communication.

Would have to agree, not that it is failing but had they put more money into community people instead of Forward Unto Dawn. We would probably be better off.

COD gets away with it because everyone likes the gameplay and there aren’t major changes (the game is good). Battlefield and Planet Side are always talking to the community.

NOTE: the Dawn thing I mentioned, it was a good series but it doesn’t seem to give a lot of plot so I thought they could have worked on something else. 1-50 ranking system anyone.

So instead of working on halo’s story they should work on the MP even though when they do that people complain about halo becoming too much like call of duty. Which will be true if they spend more time working on MP and the story.

The fans wanting everything is the damn issue not 343.

Come on guys, the 343 employees are still on vacation, and we’ve been told that we’ll get details on the updates as we get closer to their release. Just be patient, we’ll get details on the changes when they’re ready to be unveiled, complaining won’t bring things any faster.

always wanting something more well their are true halo fans out their that knows this game along with the movie is a great step in the right direction for the halo universe i ues to be a big cod fan before they changed the story line from ww1 ww2 stild to this future stuff they do now more like a halo game now if you ask me

> That’s why this game is failing. Lack of Communication.

There is plenty of communication. They communicated via their bulletin that in January they are going to release a TU and AFTER it is released they will release a set of patch notes.

They’re doing this for a few reasons:

Firstly they want to lock down everything that has changed. If they released a set of notes last month and then changed a bunch of things, it would cause an issue with the community.

Secondly they’re not going to release a bunch of changes until after the TU because if they released them before the community would be in a frenzy hounding them to change this, or nerf that, or buff this.

Everyone wants to have their own version of Halo and if they released the patch notes before, it would be a non stop flurry of raging and complaining. At least now we can stem the tide and have this happen after the TU is released.

We will most likely see a confirmation list between Thursday and next week Wednesday (unless the bulletin is delayed). Or, God-willing, we will see the TU pushed back to next month

Ha!

-File Browser NONFUNCTIONAL
-Custom Games EXTREMELY LIMITED
-MM Progression system BROKEN
-Custom Loadouts and Specialisations BROKEN
-Spartan Ops INCREDIBLY CHEAP
-Dominion Last Stand Spawning Into Last Stand NO OVERSHIELD
-Dominion Base Spawning BROKEN
-Flood JIP BROKEN
-All Join In Progress BROKEN (join match, end)

This was SO close to a good game…

Eggheads.

Well the ranking system should be coming but it will be a big let down aswell, because it will not be visible. IMO the ranking system will be a big let down because its going to be the same as going to halotracker and looking at your rank for each playlist… BIG LET DOWN AGAIN 343I

343i why are you pushing the community away?

Since everyone else is too busy arguing, I’ll answer you OP.

Mind you, these things may not come in a single huge update, but are projected to drop sometime in January, nonetheless:

Confirmed for January through the Bulletins

  • CSR drops.
  • Playlist updates with Grifball, Team Doubles, and an “optimized” Slayer Pro more suitable for competitive play. May be the MLG playlist.
  • More smaller maps introduced into MM rotation.
  • Sandbox adjustments and changes.
  • Obviously, various glitches and bugs will be fixed.
  • File Share fixed. While a specific date for this fix isn’t confirmed, I’ll speculate that it will be fixed in January.

These are the only things 343 has mentioned so far. This list is in no way comprehensive, mind you.

sorry what do you mean by “sandbox”?

also thanks at least someone gets the idea of the thread

Sandbox means the weapons, grenades, vehicles and the like and how balanced they are against each other. Things like killtimes, rates of fire, aim assist, bullet magnetism, charging times, power, ammo counts, etc. come into play here.

so you mean the games engine?

No, not exactly. You remember how Reach’s TU reduced the bloom on the DMR and reduced the effectiveness of Armor Lock? That is sandbox adjustment. Many players are asking for a nerf for both the DMR and Boltshot, for example, so that would be adjusting the sandbox.

> That’s why this game is failing. Lack of Communication.

It’s not failing, and there are perfectly good reasons they want to wait before they shove the info-pacifier into the whiner-babies’ mouths.

Make the boltshot weaker than the scattershot at certain distances. The boltshot should be a 1 shot kill just not from extreme distances, preferably a substitute for a melee.
