what i want most for an update for firefight is more maps. specifically fir halo reach, the lone wolf campaign level would make for a great firefight map

I thought Iā€™d boost this to the top once before the Forums go down.

Ending with another thanks to the 343 MCC team for all the work and additions theyā€™ve done on this collection, not the least of which was adding offline/LAN for the game, plus FireFight options! Thanks!

seriously! i was just happy we got firefight on the mcc, but the updates 343 made were very much welcome

Iā€™ve heard that there are Drone related Firefight waves in the files of Halo Reach, but I havenā€™t quite been able to directly confirm it. Still, it would be nice to have them as an option for custom firefight. Maybe have a ā€˜smallā€™ drone wave which only features a small amount of Drones, and a ā€˜regularā€™ one which features an amount closer to ODST? Although Drones are tougher and more durable in Reach if one isnā€™t using a precision weapon against them, so that might be something to keep in mind.

As for my own ideas, Iā€™d like to see:

  • Elite Zealots as a boss wave, supported by Spec Ops Grunts.
  • Revenant added as a possible enemy vehicle on Outpost and Unearthed
  • Gold Elite Ranger hazard dropping down in a single-occupant Covenant pod. Maybe have it sometimes be the white random-armour variant instead, or make that variant exclusive to Courtyard
  • Lone Wolf area as a firefight map (this is a pretty popular request)
  • Falcon vehicle drop on Beachhead? (Would drop in alongside the weapon drops, but only after the first round)
  • Engineer hazard on Unearthed or Installation 04?
  • Elites should have a chance to dual-wield plasma rifles outside of the ā€˜Elitesā€™ wave, and Minors & Ultras should be able to appear outside of that wave too

Thatā€™s all I can think of for now, I thinkā€¦haha!

Thanks! I really like your idea of the Revenant being dropped in sometimes. Itā€™s so obvious, I canā€™t believe it never occurred to me! That would be a really good change up to Wraiths and maybe even occasionally for the Ghost. (Meaning a potential exists for Wraith and Revenant on the field at the same time, or two Revenants at the same time.)

Haha, yes! I myself am actually surprised that it isnā€™t used in the original Reach firefight at all. Maybe Bungie just forgot about itā€¦
