So many mixed reviews love it, hate it. Seriously I’m getting the same vibe as Alien Isolation here. Honestly I love Halo 5 a lot MP is incredible and campaign while not huge on plot is very, very fun and still engaging(haven’t finished just yet though so no spoilers). Also most games get a lot of hate on release anyway, COD gets tons of hate and its still insanely popular, shoot AVENGERS gets hate from DC fans all the time. To me this is definitely up there with Halo 3 in terms of MP have to wait to finish H5’s story first to compare campaign though.

Give the game some thought before you go nuts guys

Yeah, you have to play it for what it is and enjoy it. Halo 5 is a great game.

I honestly expected more hate good to see so many supporters of Halo and honestly I have seen a few less than perfect reviews of the game but only a few I’m judging by fan and response really.

So are game reviewers anymore. Most of them couldn’t tell the difference between their -Yoink- and a hole in the ground.

I loved the one reviewer’s gripe, forgot their name, but they hated how the game never explained certain terminology regarding AIs, the Forerunners, etc. I thought to myself, did you play the series and actually pay attention to the story? Watch/read the terminals? No? Well that’s your own damn fault not the game’s. At some point in a series they will stop holding your hand and treat you like a newbie, at some point you’ll be expected to have something of an idea of where you are and what you’re doing.

I personally loved the campaign, and I’m surprised that I’m about to say it but I think it very well may have topped Halo 3 as my all time favorite. I’ll have to see if the effect lasts through repeated playthroughs but my first completion I had a blast. I loved all the lore nods too especially regarding Blue Team.

I finished the campaign on launch day and I very rarely do that with any game, they made all the -Yoink- guns from Halo 4 feel good to shoot and kill with. I thought there would be Halo 4 level hate on this game but it seems like a very positive reception so far.
