Can someone clarify how to correctly perform an AIRSASSINATION? I don’t know how many people were able to pull this off and obtain the medal but I know it’s possible cuz iSpiteful has received three of these medals. I’ve done this twice and saw the animation but it didn’t award me the medal. So I’m wondering do have to be in a certain playlist? Before you ask, I do have assassinations enabled.
Both you and the Spartan you’re assassinating has to be in the air,. In other words, either in the middle of falling or jumping. If a single part of youself of the enemy is on the floor, it will class it as a normal assassination.
It could be possible they were killed by someone else before you finished the assassination but it seems unlikely due to the fact that the airsassination is relatively fast. There are also the issue where the game does not award medals properly sometimes and I myself have gotten a handful of random medals during the middle of a game for no reason at all such a vehicle kill when I haven’t shot at or thrown grenades at a vehicle in a long time. I even got a from the grave kill once with an AR lol.

On ANTIFREEZE I assassinated an enemy spartan while we were both in midair after using the gravity lift. I could have sworn we were still in the air when the assignation was completed, but then again I could be wrong. This is by far one of the most annoying medals to try and obtain.

I agree, the AIRSASSINATION animation was faster then a normal assassination animation.

I’m just wondering… How could he not destroy your tank? I pulled off similar assignation and didn’t get rewarded with air assassination medal.
Edit1: It might be lock to arena only? I have perform multiple in Warzone but never in Arena so I can’t confirm.

Not sure what he was doing. He chucked a frag at me first, which just bounced off and did practically nothing. i thought he was about to board me so i hopped out, which negated the board option, ran around and knifed him good and casually hopped back in my tank and continued wreaking havoc.

If those occur in Warzone its possible that a Marine or AI enemy cleaned up the kill for you.
As for the main topic of this thread. I believe that it must have something to do with either how high off the ground you are or if you pressed the jump button before it rather than just punching from the ground or following off a man cannon.
I’m not sure what the problem was but I’ve had a few in both Arena and Warzone where the animation was complete but no air medal. I’ve finished that commo and turned the animation off.

That’s what I’m wondering, what playlist do you have to be in for it to count?
