Aircraft Takedown Lock-on Delimma

Does anyone have the probelm where rockets that are suppose to lock-on to air targets won’t if the target moves too fast or the vehicle (banshee) does a trick? The problem is the air vehicles are alerted when rockets are trying to lock-on so all they have to do is do a trick (banshee) and keep doing that until they find you and kill you which defeats the purpose of weapons locking-on to air targets because then it doesn’t work. Why don’t the weapons not alert the banshee while locking-on and then when the rockets have been fired then they can alert them? Rockets generally move slow anyways, even if you use the fast one. Also I will post another topic, but why am I being put into games that have already started? I thought Halo 5 was suppose to do away with that? And it becomes especially annoying when it’s on the losing team and the game is about to end.

Aircraft are pretty weak as it is,you just need to dodge the incoming fire and try to get that target lock.

I have tried that and I can dodge them but at some point I need to be out in the open to lock-on but I can’t do it because even if they don’t kill me they just keep doing flips (banshee) and get away. So it’s either don’t get killed by the banshee at that moment and get killed by it later or get killed by it while trying to lock-on to it which very rarely happens. The first option usually happens and it becomes an even greater problem when there are multiple heavy and air vehicles.

Well then your team should have destroyed it by then if they have half a mind.

Yeah I know, but I keep getting tossed in with players that apparently don’t then. I should be able to take out a banshee on my own. Maybe not at the first attempt or even the second, but by the third or fourth I should be able to have enough reqs or something that will allow me to neutralize it.

I just snipe air vehicles, they never see it coming so they can never dodge it,it also helps to know the weakpoints for each vehicle in order to maximize damage.

No, coming from an experienced and veteran player as myself, the banshees are super-frustrating to take down when you are trying to use rockets. There’s no cooldown on banshee flips so even a mediocre flyer can spam tricks and never get locked on to. Then again I play solo 95% of the time and my teammates are too braindead to teamshoot a Banshee anyways…

Well if that work for you Jakey boy xbox1. I don’t always have sniper reqs and like Co2 Br3aKOUT said my teamates are too braindead to teamshoot. Maybe it is just cuz I play alone most of the time.
